I don't give a good gol-durn about Transformers. I never had them as a kid, I never wanted them as a kid, I never knew what in the hell they even were as a kid, and I don't care about them now.
Unless there's a Mickie James transformer that turns her from loving hunky redheaded wrestlers to loving fat wrestler wannabes who will hopefully die within the next five years, I'll think about caring.
...
Just felt like ranting.

This couldn't have gone in the other transformers thread? Now we're gonna get a gazillion and four new threads called "I just feel as though ____________" with the blank filled with some crazy crazy words. CRAZY WORDS. And we're going to all look back and say "You know, it was all mdb913's fault." And then, mdb913, your time will come.
But seriously, I much rathered Popples over GI Joe or Transformers. Was that even the same time period?

Nothing wrong with not liking Transformers. Perhaps you were a Gobots fan? Whatever the case, lately at work we've been hiring a bunch of people younger than us, and they have no idea what the hell we're talking about whenever we converse about stuff that happened before 1990 (one 21-year-old girl never heard of the Smurfs). It's sort of a wake-up call for us that we're getting older and will soon have people asking "Who the hell is Robin."

Truth-be-told, I don't remember much of any of the TV shows I watched when I was a boy. I remember clear-as-day what I got for Christmas when I was one year old, but I can't remember the cartoons I watched every Saturday.

Too bad it doesn't work 'down there' so to speak.

I'm with Captain Charisma on this...I was not a Transformers fan, but when Beast Wars came on, the world was shut off.

They popped in, they popped out and that's what popples were all about.
He-man was my favorite though.. Hence why the unemployed skeletor stuff makes me laugh so.

I can't believe I had a Popple plush when I was little. My brother had a football one... I wish I had the football one.

He-Man, Ninja Turtles, and Garfield & Friends. Pretty much the only cartoons that mattered, till Ren & Stimpy came along.
