Discovering Metallica and Anthrax music in 1987. Up until then, I was more of a fan of Huey Lewis. Master of Puppets changed my life for the better!

My mother let me stay up late on weekends. I would watch a music video countdown show. Little 10 year old me. No hyperbole here...I saw the following video for the first time, and my life changed.

Got another great 80s memory. It was 1987 Xmas day. I am at my maternal grandparents place in Biloxi. By this time Mom's side of the family was usually getting me clothes or video games for Xmas. I see I got two gifts from my Grandparents. Open up the first one and it is the TPB of Dark Knight Returns!! I am thinking "OK the other gift from Paw Paw and Grannie will be clothes." I open up the other gift and it is the TPB of Watchmen.

NBC Friday Night Videos? It may have been. I remember the host was kinda douchey and he always said the voting phone number was 1-800-Coca-Cola.

I remember going to see The Princess Bride at a theater in Ohio as we were talking my sister on a tour of some colleges. It's the first movie I can remember seeing all of in a theater. I remember seeing parts of one of the Care Bear movies before that.
