He was actually given this opportunity due to injuries and is in higher standing than in previous memory for him If it wasn't for the Jason Jordan injury he'd be looking at a pre show mania match All in all Rollins has come out better in the grand scheme of things But again, for what? Why have him go 60 minutes and look like a worldbeater on RAW? Why have him look like the ultimate underdog in the chamber? You made him look great sure, but ultimately for what/ For an eventual heel turn and Roman feud? That's not all the better to me, that's straight regression. There isn't a payoff this segment. There's no instant satisfaction Rollins looks good which is all that matters at this moment People are saying he's a top guy again which wasn't the case before so no it wasn't for nothing because his standing as a top babyface has gone much further

I just think it's blowing Rollins' situation with the company out of proportion to claim his work was "for nothing", when he was obviously told to go out and make Braun look great just like the others were.

Seth put work in to make you think Roman wasn't winning, and it worked.

ngl, I don't really understand why people actually expected this to lead to him doing something big tonight. Like, it's RAW. This show could have Jesus rise from the ring and hit a Rock Bottom on Gran Metallik's family and chances are that it'd lead to nothing. That’s a hell of a rub for Gran Metalik, though.

I don't think Seth regrets that performance on Monday.

And they made Braun look great for what? He goes out there, kills everyone, Roman wins, and he kills him. So unless Braun gets inserted in the match, he looked like the winner, not the actual person who won, so if he wanders off and does another feud it just... is super awkward. But Kayfabe wise as well, all the work Seth did WAS for nothing, and if they spin that into a storyline where he just goes heel it feels like a wasted opportunity.

Seth put work in to make you think Roman wasn't winning, and it worked. I knew Roman was winning, so no it didn't, it just made me question why Seth was going absolutely nuts this week when it's not going to equate to anything worthwhile in storyline...

Because if it's to a "heel" turn against Reigns where no one is gonna boo Seth then... just yeesh.

Once again you are focusing on the wrong thing tho Braun looked great, got the rub during the match and after by still leaving Roman on the ground laying He didn't "kill Braun" he just defeated and Braun was still the one who left standing.

I'm of the opinion where he really needs to just become the workhouse guy on Raw and almost become their AJ. Just have great match after great match and he will become an unstoppable face. After that bad return as a heel he needs to set himself strong in that face that always delivers and not as just a part of some tag team.

Which again, frustrates me, you make him look like the ultimate underdog and the end game is turning him heel? Like for once I would like to see WWE book a face the crowds like to cheer for be successful because since they've been forced to with Bryan I can't name many who have looked legitimate, even Ambrose has had some really bad slumps... I never thought of Seth as an underdog in this story. I thought of him as a former WWE Champion who was every bit as capable of being in the Wrestlemania main event as Roman (to the point of pinning Roman clean on Monday) who didn't quite make it there. A bittersweet ending that serves to add more drama to the Wrestlemania main event since the announce team can hype just how hard the road to reach Brock Lesnar really was. What kind of men Roman had to get through. At the same time Seth doesn't lose much in terms of power level by losing the chamber match. He's still in the top tier of the company and could conceivably have a match with Braun at Wrestlemania (and even win if they keep him face).

Cjb, you talk about match results like every single loss is the end of someone's career. Why? You know I'm not talking like it's the end of Careers right? I'm just trying to see the point of some booking standpoints, and why WWE does some of the things they do. Not once did I say it was the end of anyones career because something went some way I didn't like, but it's a disheartening turn where I just don't see the upside and usually as we go it's either forgotten or meaningless. I just want booking to have more direction and take these dudes and how they book them more seriously, see what they have instead of just doing really confusing moves like this. So when Seth beats Roman and Cena clean, something unheard of in itself just to lose the Chamber after starting it, and now has no big feud or anything like that it's just... weird, and it does feel like in storyline that he did all that work for nothing, maybe I'm wrong and he'll get a huge Mania Match but it feels like he had a huge moment in that Gauntlet and the end payoff is... well Roman won again, which just makes it feel hollow. Again, not the end of the world, but a decision I thought warranted discussion.

I think he will be a workhorse guy on SD I've been saying for a few months that I think AJ goes to Raw and Finn/Seth go to SD Seth will eventually get a WWE title run again over there either over a heel Finn or defeating Shinsuke

You've made several threads since the gauntlet about the outcome and what ifs. Got you guessing to some degree. I was more hoping than anything, I didn't doubt Roman inevitable victory because it's been predicted since last year, but I was thinking about Seth possibly being inserted in the match as a Triple Threat scenario but I guess that isn't happening. I just thought like many others he earned a spot after a showing like that.

Over 60 Minutes on RAW, beats Roman and Cena clean Over 30 minutes in the Chamber tonight And his big thanks from WWE for this hard work and all those bumps and making him look like the legit ironman ace babyface of the company is... nothing. ... BURN IT DOWN!Like Good Brother Anderson said on Ride Along, "Six shirts, three action figures, one win."
