Vegeta: DO I HEAR 15?!
And WWE don't even make a new belt, they just use that large ass Mid-South North American HW Belt.

Too many champs, too many. We're already at the point where Miz has to pretend he's happy being the perpetual IC champion instead of trying to move up, why throw another meaningless piece of tin on the pile?

Well if anything turns your run-of-the-mill regular wrestler guys into stars it's belts.
I mean, f***, look what slapping a belt on him did for undeniable MEGASTAR(!!!!2!!) Jinder Mahal.

We're already at the point where Miz has to pretend he's happy being the perpetual IC champion instead of trying to move up, why throw another meaningless piece of tin on the pile? How does this impact anything on the main roster? At least now all the midcard guys in NXT who are never going to headline a Takeover have a reason to exist.

While I agree that the main roster may have too many, I even struggle with that when there's currently a BIG title that appears on a rarer occasion than the Smackdown world title, so I figure that evens that level out somewhat. Within NXT, however, I absolutely think it's a great idea and even necessary. I haven't watched in a while but they seem to have toned down title defenses on the weekly show, so a mid-card title can help with that while keeping the NXT Title meaningful and relevant. It may also give them some wiggle room if they want to continue putting the main title on "flavor of the month indy signings" as I've seen it put. I realize they've also toned this down a bit, but one reason the indy guys are able to maintain hold over that title, in my mind anyway, is that they're experienced and seasoned. A mid-card belt can be a nice way to transition those house-trained wrestlers a credible path to the main title.

I did think NXT could use a mid-card belt, so this is good, but more importantly that match lineup to decide the initial champ? I need it. I need it plugged right into my veins.

Got no problem with NXT getting another belt.

I’m fine with another belt that name is just unappealing.

I’m fine with another belt that name is just unappealing. It has me wondering if they aren't goig to try and "split" NXT into at least two brands. Fold the WWE UK title and start filming stuff in the UK (or finally using Progress and ICW) and have another brand here. I think NXT could pull off a traveling world champ much better than the main roster given the lighter schedule and tapings.

Personally, I'd like to have seen the 15 Belt come back, defended exclusive on The Network. Give guys 15 min. to do it or not.

Also I do think WWE is getting better with making titles mean a little more than in the past. Sure the IC and US titles need a little bit better treatment (more so the IC belt which has kind of just become a prop for the Miz for a bit) but I don't think any title just feels like it's there anymore. Now it's not New Japan where every title feels like it means something but it's not the later days of the Hardcore and European titles either.
And like I mentioned earlier, NXT has so many guys that another title kind of gives direction. I mean look at how guys disappear for extended time and not always due to injury. I feel like guys like Dain and Dream have kind of lost momentum, and I think this would give guys like Ohno and Jose something to do as well

I like this a lot better than the cruiserweight tag idea. Just hope the belt doesn't look like shit.

As much as I want to groan about another title, I feel NXT will at least use this one properly and the amount of talent is starting to fill up NXT, so having something else to chase would be beneficial to a number of guys.

Should have revived the 15-minute medal, only in title form.

Always wanted it to be the ol tv title deal but this is fine.
NXT has needed a midcard belt for a hot while.

WWE, Universal Tag, Tag Womens, Womens (Womens tag?) IC, US Cruiserweight, Cruiser tags UK title NXT, NXT IC, NXT Tag, NXT womens
For all the talk of too many titles, I'd convert the main roster Tag titles into the one title defended on both shows. And same for the Womens title, and I'd replace the Smackdown womens belt with Womens tag titles, also defended on both shows. Not keen on two world champs, but so it goes.
But all that takes us down to 14.
