It was actually George Geef but that was during the 50s. In the pilot for Goof Troop his name is listed as G.G. Goof on a diploma and he's referred to as Goofy Goof in a couple of places.

Going by this thread, is Goofy still one of the few characters in Disney animation to canonically have sex?

If Max's canon status is called into question, what about the Leaning Tower of Chisa?

And here I was , thinking that Disneyland was supposed to be "The Happiest Place on Earth, not "Nightmare-fuel Central".

Yea, I was gonna say one of my ex's was totally him at Disneyland. They keep him at Plaza inn for breakfasts and occasionally randomly throw him in other locations. He's canon alright...now what isn't canon but SHOULD be is that he's Minnie's dammnit! That cheating jezebel!

Is Gadget still even in the parks anymore? Nah, but they brought her and a couple others (darkwing duck too I wanna say) out of storage, like a year or two ago, for some special event.

Going by this thread, is Goofy still one of the few characters in Disney animation to canonically have sex? I remember Mickey and Minnie having kids. But I think they only appeared in the comics and comic strip. Donald's sister had the three kids. And that is animation.

As for Goofy vs. Geef, here's how you tell the difference: Goofy George Geef Geef will always lack Goofy's signature overbite, and usually will lack Goofy's drooping ears.

In one of the issues of Air Pirate Funnies they have a parody of Mickey and Minnies kids. Who I remember reading were based on the kids Mickey and Minnie had at one time in either the old comics or the comic strip. Now I want to go look and see if the two Air Pirate Funnies comix have dropped to an affordable cost.

Goofy is still directly referred to as being Goofy before those cartoons. Back then, cartoon characters were sometimes treated as being "Actors" who could play different "roles" and George Geef was essentially supposed to be a role that was played by Goofy as the shorts would start with title cards with phrases like "Goofy in..." or "...starring Goofy" even though the narrator often called him George.
