A lot of the stories about Kane being a ridiculously nice and intelligent guy behind the scenes bring a smile to my face. I can say from personal experience meeting Kane how true this is, the guy has to be the most polite guy I have ever meet.

It was often said that Yokozuna was a pretty nice guy in general, but went out of his way to be particularly nice to children, so they wouldn't be scared of him on account of his size.

When Darren Young heard Bret Hart was diagnosed with prostate cancer, the first thing he did was reach out and put him in touch with a relative of his who's a doctor and he helped Bret through it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZVs7qw9Css

On that same note, has ANYONE ever had a bad word to say about Molly Holly? Every story I have ever heard about her makes her sound borderline angelic. There was some weirdo fan obsessed with her, trying to spread BS rumors, at one point, but they seem to have largely dropped off the face of the Earth. In the business, though? None that I've heard of. I think it's also kinda cute that she did an interview at one point admitting she thought Cena was cute on meeting him. Sorta reminds me of Ivory saying she passed up a date with a rookie because she had a boyfriend at the time, and said rookie was Rocky Maivia, with her bemoaning missing out.I hope that one isn't true. I believe Rock was engaged when he first started in WWE. He got married in May 1997.

When I first met John Cena, he came out 2 hours prior to the scheduled signing time, and stayed until everyone that had waited to meet him, got the chance. I was a dork, and asked for a hug, and he hugged me, and thanked me, for waiting to see him. (This was after his CD came out) 2nd time I met Cena, he came out at the scheduled time. My best friend was with me, and he was very sweet to both of us. Again, he took his time with the handicapped fans. That made me appreciate him more. My mom came to pick us up, and told him that we'd been at the mall all day, excited to see him. He apologized to my mom, and said that if he'd known, he would have started the signing sooner. In 2002, Edge, who is one of my favorites, did a signing at the mall here, because they were promoting the final show at the New Haven Coliseum. The line was too long, and I had to babysit my cousin, so I had to miss it. A few years later, he came back, during the Rated RKO era, and I told both him and Orton, all that. Orton was very quiet, but very nice to me. Edge said he couldn't believe that I still wanted to meet him, after so many years. I asked him for a hug, and he said that I waited long enough to get one. I've always been a fan, and even more, since. Strangely, it's bittersweet, that I was at the show where he announced his retirement. Christian was very funny when I met him. When I told him that i met Edge, he said he was sorry to hear that then, I told him that I was left handed, so he asked my bf, if he was right handed. Then, we got on the subject of talking about dorks. (It was a convention, and there was no one in his and Bret Hart's area) Bret: He wasn't mad at me about wearing a Seth shirt. And he's a gif master Terri: VERY sweet lady. She kept apologizing for me waiting in line, because she was having a conversation with a 4 year old. She told me that when kids want to talk to her, she tries to make them feel as special as possible. (I'm the same way ) She seems to genuinely care about people, and when we got our pic done at the con, I had her cigar. I told her my mom would be shocked, since I don't smoke. She asked me to tag her in the pic on Instagram and twitter. She and I follow each other on twitter, now. (she wanted to know mom's reaction to the pic ) Trish: Trish is very sweet, and down to earth. She was very friendly to us TV does not do her justice. That woman is more gorgeous in person, than she is on TV.

East Tennessee legend Whitey Caldwell, the area's top babyface from the early '60s until he was killed by a drunk driver in '72, refused to sell pictures at shows because he knew many of the fans were already making sacrifices just to buy a ticket every week. When he finally did sell them, it was to raise money to help a local family pay for their young daughter's surgery. To add a little something to this, Jim Cornette and Les Thatcher have both said that when they began putting together the piece on the history of Knoxville wrestling for SMW's Night of Legends show, they learned that more than 20 years after his death, fans were still putting flowers on Whitey Caldwell's grave.

Kind of an obscure one to those unfamiliar with the SoCal wrestling scene.
When Buggy Nova got signed to FCW, she threw a going away party near where she lived. About an hour drive from Los Angeles, and nearly three hours by public transportation. But f*** it, she's my friend, so I took the train and bus out there. Once the party was ending, I remembered that SoCal public transportation basically stops at midnight. I said to a few people I was gonna go to the Denny's down the street to wait for busses to start running.
Then local wrestler Jarek Matthews told me he'd drive me home. He lived in Monrovia. Halfway between Buggy's party and where I lived in Hollywood. Dude drove a fan turned wrestling school trainee that he met maybe twice beforehand all the way out of his way just because we had a mutual friend.
Him, Buggy, and Peter Avalon are still my favorite people that I know in that scene.

Shawn Michaels paying off the mortgage of a lady in his local congregation after her husband passed away.
This is the same dickhead from the 90s!

I know CM Punk is kind of a dickhead, but him paying off Joey Mercury's house when it was about to be foreclosed is pretty incredible.

Mark Henry accidentally hurt someone (I wanna say Lance Storm) during a match. If I remember the story right, he felt so awful about it that he spent the next couple of months carrying Storm's bags around, despite being told that accidents happen and it is no big deal

After that match where Dynamite Kid hurt his back, he was taken to local medical facility and had to stay there overnight. Haku went to the hospital and stayed by Dynamite's side until the morning. He was not even involved in that match. Later, Dynamite recalls, the only wrestler to contact him during his recuparation (other than Bret Hart) was Roddy Piper, who called to ask whether Dynamite needed any financial help.

From Sting's HOF speech:
"You remember September 20th, night of champions? I'm walking away with the thing, you know, around my neck you know like this and they got me in the ambulance and Seth (Rollins) comes in and says 'Sting! Sting! Are you okay? I don't know what happened' and then they're trying to drive me away saying 'Seth, you gotta let him go, we gotta take him to the hospital for MRI's-' 'Sting, I was you for Halloween!' And he had a shootin' look on his face, too. I know a lot of ya out there probably dressed up as me for Halloween."
It's just adorable on so many levels.

Mark and Lance are buds. Mark also offered, when Lance's daughter began dating, to fly in to Calgary simply to be there to answer the door when boys came over. Probably a facetious offer, but an amusing one.

Not a wrestler, but I wanted to mention Fred Durst wanting to be a playable character in order for his music to be used.
Not going to lie, I'd really be damned tempted if I was in that position.

Any Owen Hart ribs. Where a lot of ribs you here stories about are mean-spirited or just downright cruel, Owen's stuff just sounds like a bit of harmless fun. He probably got under the skin of some people with his pranks, but they never sounded mean-spirited, and that's why everybody seemed to love him. Yeah, most of the stories I've heard about Owen ribs have (a) come from a person who was happily (and not really maliciously) amused by it, and (b) was a story that ended with even the person getting screwed over finding out it was Owen and just lol'ing at it.

Oh, yeah, another one was me meeting Brad Armstrong at an indy show. This was during the peak run of 3 Live Kru in TNA, and literally all Brad could talk about was how proud the family was of Brian doing well. It was an awesome interaction.

I took my (then) 6-year old nephew to one of TNA's BaseBrawl events about six years ago. Austin Aries was champ, and we went up to meet him at intermission. I had our program with everybody's picture in it so they could sign.
Well, the picture of Aries didn't have a mustache. So he's super cool and shakes hands, takes a picture with my nephew. I hand him the program to get it autographed. He signs it for my nephew, and as my nephew is walking away, Aries goes:
"Hey, kid. Hold up, come back a second."
My nephew goes back, and Aries takes his marker and draws a mustache on his own picture and says, "Ok, there we go. Now it looks like me."
It was just really cute and fun. All of the TNA talent were amazing to meet. My buddy bought a pair of Styles' gloves and got them autographed.
