Watching the movie atm. Wasn't expecting the Godzilla cameo. Maybe a My Hero Academia and Godzilla crossover someday?

Finished the movie. I enjoyed this a good amount. Animation studio was clearly planning on making the most out of the increased animation budget, because it looks so beautiful. Spoiler for end of the movie: {Spoiler}{Spoiler}I’m so used to Super Sentai and Kamen Rider movies being largely disconnected from their series, so the reveal that the movie’s villain was acting on behalf of All For One was a bit of a shock to me {Spoiler}Yeah, considering by the time we got it, we had finished Season 3, the movie felt like a really cool set up for what Season 3 was in general with All For One rising up, Midoryia and All Might finally being able to work together and All Might talking about how the torch is truly passed. It was really goddamn neat and felt like it would have made a really nice arc in the show itself.

It’s obviously set before season 3, I’m just wondering if this was supposed to be a tease for season 3 because of that twist

It’s obviously set before season 3, I’m just wondering if this was supposed to be a tease for season 3 because of that twist {Spoiler} So looking it up again, the movie came out right around the time All Might beat All For One so it seemed more of a stop gap in some aspects for what had already happened and a last major on screen hurrah for All Might. And considering the special episode to promote the movie was in August, it was a weird placement but Japanese Network forced specials are a weird thing.

Current chapters are gonna be pretty interesting. {Spoiler}If the current arc goes on long enough, it'll be pretty fun to see it animated and have the OP for the arc centered on the League of Villains instead of Deku and co.

I just got the My Hero Academia game for the Switch. There is no English dub. I’m actually disappointed about this, because I much prefer the English voices to the Japanese ones.

Hopefully this doesn't mean Crunchyroll is cut off I swear there are different circumstances for subs to be on Crunchyroll ala DBS being Japanese on Crunchyroll. Also, this is not a specific date. GIVE ME A SPECIFIC DATE!

GIVE ME A SPECIFIC DATE! There was. The problem is this whole CR and Funi relationship. MHA season 1 was taken off CR for a while before it was added back so with both companies trying to get their buys it raised my eyebrow when it said they got the rights. I would assume they meant the English Dub like they've had already And I would hope we start getting trailers and shit soon. We already in June (This year has gone by so f***ing fast) so with 4 months left they need to start putting the hype meter out by August People who only watch the anime are going to love this arc as this was the longest one of the story thus far

I'd say MHA got bigger than Naruto which was supposed to be that generation Dragonball Z but it never hit that height. MHA has not had that problem July seems the right date to show off a trailer or a sneak peek. Probably put focus on Mirio

If you ever get time to read the Manga I highly recommend it Is it significantly different at all? Nope. They are actually telling the story one to one exactly as the source material In fact the anime has only had like 2 filler episodes which was at the end of season 1 and the beginning of season 2 or 3

The other one was inserted in the middle of the license test, since it was made for some sort of TV event in Japan. Season 2 had one filler, and I don't think the first season had any. But man, season 4 will be pretty fun. That said, considering the current manga arc, already hyped for what season 5 will bring once its animated.

So basically at most 5 filler episodes in about 60 episodes they have filmed Start to get sad when realize season 5 isn't until late 2020 or early 2021. However, season 4 has the potential to pass the previous seasons which says a lot. I assume this season ends with the end of the festival arc which would be a good high note to end on and then start the next season with {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} Class 1A vs Class 1B in which Shinso gets his chance to be promoted to the hero course and Deku new power emerges plus some backstory showcasing All for One brother

Not sure if it happened before or after the class exercise, but I think it'll start off with Hawks' introduction, and him teaming up with Endeavor against the high-end Nomu, then the class exercise begins, and maybe the next half will be the current My Villain Academia arc.
Speaking of the Class 1A vs. 1B test, I reckon the one that would look most cool to see animated would be team Iida/Todoroki vs. team Tetsutetsu. Tetsutetsu tanking Todoroki's fire, and the general chaos during the fight which includes tipping over a building would look real good animated.
For upcoming season 4: {Spoiler}My guess is the season starts with another recap, with Shiragaki's and his LoV meeting Overhaul with the latter talking about previous events like All for One being captured, Shiragaki wasting his resources with the vanguard action squad, Stain, etc.
Then the tone for the season gets set with Overhaul blowing up Magne. I am very much looking forward to see the reactions of anime-only watchers to that.
But yeah, there's gonna be a lot of good stuff in season 4. Small moment, but it would be cool to see Rappa, the guy who Kirishima and Fatgum fought, and his quirk animated. Full Cowl 100% will probably be the highlight animated bit this season, in any case.

Speaking of Endeavor, he should start getting better reactions in the same way Bakugo has and he as well will only continue to get better as his character still continues to be a highlight while still being his usual brash self {Spoiler}{Season 4} A recap is most likely the best bet since shit will get intense once the season starts and never stops until the end
Overhaul as a villain and the first one outside of Stain and Tomura circle should be a treat for people. When he kills Magne that will instantly set him apart and having the Yakuza will be a nice touch
I am looking forward to Kirishima and Fatgum vs Rappa. Kirishima grew a lot in this arc and his fight and getting essentially his first nemesis in Rappa will be great.
Deku with his 100% full cowl will have people on their seats. I assume this season ends with Deku vs Gentle Criminal which is also a good mini fight and I think Gentle Criminal might become popular due to his silly nature essentially being like a Trickster to Deku's Flash

There will be a bit on season 4, maybe season 4 but most likely considering the pace of the anime, where his talk with All Might and Shouto will make him less of a jerk to the audience, but season 5 will be a more definite point on his road to character development. Guy's still got a long road ahead of him. Small thing, but he looks a lot cooler when he's wearing casual clothing after his fight with High End, with the scar and less flames on his face when he's not in costume.
Also mushroom girl. Her quirk is fun.
Season 4 speculation talk: {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Yeah, Deku vs. Gentle will also be pretty dang fun. Seeing the two bouncing around Gentle's quirk walls as they fight will look good animated if they still have the budget after the Overhaul stuff. Gonna be lots of neat fights this season, really. Shiragaki, Dabi and Compress on top of a truck going to get their revenge against Overhaul will be also be good. It seems that each season the number of people getting killed increases...
Thinking about it, I think season 4 will either end hinting at Hawks, or I feel the most likely candidate for the next season hook is Gigantomachia being revealed.
