You know those geocities fansites from the late 90s-early 00s? They had better writers than Snyder.

I was thinking this thread had gone quiet and that maybe snyder had run out of bullshit to make up about a what 5 year old film and the thread had finally died but no up he pops with fresh new bullshit, hes worse than freddy, jason & Michael Myers (the masked one, not the actor) combined for "oh you think I'm done, surprise I'm back for more" Even in places like DC subreddits the Snyder worshippers have been pretty quiet as of late after years of making any kind of sensible discourse impossible. So of course they're back, defending this half-baked idea and cursing WB for interfering with Snyder's genius. I'm sure the timing has absolutely nothing to do with the imminent release of James Gunn's new movie. No siree.

Each time I see this thread get updated, I get Christmas morning type joy(mixed with the fascination of seeing a building on fire while I'm driving).

No siree. given how he acted with Warner Bros, I wouldn't be surprised if Netflix have found a way to shorten their deal with him or have decided that when the deal is up that's it he's gone due to him flat out ignoring what he's being told to do (shorter film, stick to the set budget, keep the slow motion footage to under 15% of the film, keep Ray Fisher off twitter). I've seen an article with a video interview/Q and A with him talking about Robin's (death) suit in batman vs superman and how he doesn't want to spoil what may never be shown as to what happened to get to that point but never say never, but the way he talks about it is designed to get the cult back into action at WB's doors to demanding him be back to making his dc universe, and that doesn't strike me as someone who expects to still be working for their current employer long.

He probably hopes Zaslav will get desperate. Not realizing that the last thing that penny pincher will do is invest in a proven underperformer.

After the bath they took on Shazam, no way do they indulge him.

Minus the epilogue and the absence of the Tina Guo version of the Wonder Woman theme, I still like the Snyder Cut of Justice League. Anyone else feel old right now? Yes, but because the Snyder Tumult has been a thing since at least 2013 because of Man of Steel. The Snyder Cult is a more recent phenomenon. On one hand, the Snyder Tumult is objectively a different, and ultimately minor, kind of exhaustion compared to what the Snyder Cult has generated in its stupidity in the last few years. And I used to count myself in the Snyder Tumult-side of things. On the other hand, in form, and not in volume (loudness and quantity), the Snyder Tumult can be as shrill and relitigating compared to those who continue to dredge up their dislike of The Last Jedi in the Star Wars corner of fandom.

I'm definitely in the Snyder Tumult camp, though I do think he is a decent filmmaker. He's an abysmal storyteller and is way too fond of desaturating the life out of his movies and filling them with on-the-nose religious allegory, but he's pretty strong in every other aspect of filmmaking. If he could take a step back from the writing side of things, find better writers to work with than Chris Terrio and David f***ing Goyer, and stopped seeing colour as the enemy he could be universally praised. Unfortunately, he's too wrapped up in his service to the chuds who worship every ill-conceived idea he dreams up.

This is ever funnier if you know anything about mythology, because "Annoying Zeus" is among the closest adaptations from the mythology for a live-action Zeus. These guys really thing Zaddy's ideas should supersede not merely the comics, but actual mythology. You know…about the only damn thing he’s said at all recently that’s made any sense was about the only reason Batman is working with Joker in the JL epilogue is Joker knows where Kryptonite may be.

Dumb for all kinds of reasons, but also if the Olympians are Kryptonian, why'd they do nothing and let Krypton blow up?

Dumb for all kinds of reasons, but also if the Olympians are Kryptonian, why'd they do nothing and let Krypton blow up? Also also, both Zeus and Ares use magic on multiple occasions (remember, Zeus is the one who hid Themyscira, Diana later uses a similar spell to make her plane invisible). Thing is, magic is one of Superman's like two consistent weaknesses. So Kryptonians are weak to magic but they can also use magic proficiently?

I am amused that half of the replies to that tweet are arguing that Snyder's take is fresh and unique and shouldn't have been shot down. What's fresh about portraying Zeus as a jacked badass? Or even the Olympians as aliens? Star Trek was doing that in the '60s.
