He's gone and said that he hates comic books like Superman and Captain America. That the only thing he looks for in comics are sex and violence in them. I think DC picked him because he was the lowest bidder. they wanted his visual style for their movies and that is one thing he is good at is how he presents the movies visually, he just gets the urge to make large chunks of them slow motion or tries to insist on doing a black and white version and a darker grittier edgier directors cut. but even then the dark and gritty smeared with mud is a terrible look for a Superman movie...

Maybe Warner Bros. should’ve just let him direct an adaptation of the Injustice games. Or maybe he could talk James Gunn into letting him direct a Brightburn sequel.

The fever may be broken. Even his most deranged fans seem to be leaving him for dead now.

The fever may be broken. Even his most deranged fans seem to be leaving him for dead now. It's so bad the general consensus on r/SnyderCut seems to be both parts of Rebel Moon sucked. And that's a subreddit that has a rule against being negative about Snyder and his work.

And that's a subreddit that has a rule against being negative about Snyder and his work. It's always fun when the dam breaks on subs that's rules specifically mandate positivity. Good example is the Pokeleaks subreddit and how it has a rule against criticizing a leaker named Khu (who does often have legit info but is kind of needlessly cryptic about it, constantly does shit just for attention, and gets mad when other people leak things before him) and of late they've basically stopped even bothering to pay attention to him because his information seems to have dried up and he's just been getting more and more trolling and obtuse.

They've moved back to how terrible Gunn is... They're going to be absolutely insufferable when they crawl out from under their rocks next year.

Who's the schmucks that are giving him money to do this?
It's not his fanbase, they've bragged that they will only pirate it

Who's the schmucks that are giving him money to do this? Netflix gave him a five-project deal when WB cut ties with him in 2021, which resulted in Army of the Dead, Army of Thieves, Rebel Moon, and Twilight of the Gods. Planet of the Dead is still to come.

Planet of the Dead is still to come. unless they count the fifty hour directors cut of rebel moon as a film of its own, which technically it would be if he puts any footage he removed to keep the two parts to netflix's expected time limit. I'm not wanting to see his directors cut of this Norse mythology film, I can do without seeing Loki f***ing a horse in slow motion.

Based on the movie-and-a-half that I've seen of the Rebel Moon "saga", the PG-13 cuts barely count as they were clearly edited in a single session with minimal thought.

Having never ever wondered how Zack Snyder would interpret legendary mythical characters such as Thor, Loki and Odin, sure sounds like exactly how I might've imagined it.

wouldn't be surprised if -THOSE- "viking" runes somehow made their way into the background of this and Zack has to go around going "oops how'd that get in there?"

I forget where I saw it, but I actually heard the other day that somebody online took the Rebel Moon movies and sped the slow motion up to normal speed. Both movies were around 90 minutes long afterwards.
I know we rag on Snyder for how much he likes slow motion shots, but when your movies are half an hour (or more) shorter when they're edited at normal speed, it's reached the point of excess.
