You can't blame the guy for licking Snyder's boots, he's one of the three guys that keeps food on his table along with James Wan and Jason Blum. Every time I see Patrick Wilson in a movie, I think “Patrick Wilson must be a really nice guy or something because he is an absolutely awful actor to keep getting cast in actual movies.” |

motherf***er is just going to keep trying to make Snydercuts of all of his movies isn't he...
I can't wait to see the snyder cut of Watchmen that is like 20 days long...

And all the material added to Watchmen is all in line with the Snyder stuff people hated, more rorsach and Comedian being inappropriately badass, murdering more people in South East Asia, a sex scene between Ozymandias and Xerxes from 300 for some reason, with them saying how great it is to be evil and gay as pillow talk. There's also a scene with green lantern added in for some reason while WB execs can be heard screaming offcamera, throwing fire extinguishers at the door of the sound booth hard enough it can be heard even post editing. |

The Blu-ray added 18 minutes to the theatrical version, but Snyder has stated that it wasn’t his version and there are still a lot of things viewers haven’t been able to enjoy from the film. Or indeed, anything. |

I mean they'd just ignore the fact...
like they ignore that Snyder stated multiple times he's the one that pushed for Batman in the second movie (a large section try to make it sound like WB forced it upon him...then they also talk about the 5 movie plan so... I don't know how they make the two ideas fit there....)
and they ignore that Zack Snyder admits that he left Justice League. It wasn't stolen from him. He was not forced out. He LEFT after his family tragedy. It was not his vision on the screen, but he left the project. When you leave a project it's no longer your project.

They really wanted Zack Snyder to do the a whole "Darkseid quadrilogy" and then turn around and do a Flash trilogy, plus Man of Steel 2? I'm exhausted just reading it, I couldn't imagine anyone actually doing it. Friendly reminder that doing Cap 2 and 3 and Avengers 3 and 4 back to back was enough for the Russo Brothers to swear off Marvel movies for the foreseeable future.
They really wanted this man to dedicate the next decade-plus of his life to the most mediocre grimdark comic book movies anyone has ever seen.

wait... Darkseid the big bad for the justice league movies was going to be a minion of Zoom overall?
this sounds so much like a "pulled out of the arse last minute retcon" idea made up on the spot as there has been no nods to an evil speedster at any point from man of steel through to both versions of justice league. (how long before it's claimed the lightening bolt that lights up Batman during the Doomsday fight is Zoom manipulating things? ala Martian Manhunter being the General all along)
I've not seen the Flash movie, but it's a given they would have Zoom show up in that in some way as they would feature Barry's mothers death as part of Flash's backstory in his own movie, but outside of that Zoom doesn't seem to have any influence on the story as Barry decides to go f*** up the timeline on his own.
I've never understood how DC's tv arm can plan things out years in advance and go with it while DC's movie arm throws shit at a wall to decide which direction to go next. the last 10 years of films have been incredibly disjointed bouncing from the grim-dark snyder films to the bright & shiny Wonder Woman/AquaMan/Shazam with grim-dark Suicide Squad thrown in the middle. (the birds of prey with Harley Quinn shoehorned in and Suicide Squad reboot are stuck in between the official end of the snyderverse and start of Gunn's version of the dc universe.)

I mean, this was the game plan for DC Comics for the longest time under Dan DiDio. Everything is just build-up to the next big crossover event which inevitable includes a minor reboot or massive retcons of some kind at some point. The Snyder movies sucked, but we can't say he wasn't giving DC editorial exactly what they wanted with them. That's still the mantra at DC. They have one big event after another and continually change up whole pasts to tell a present story, the only difference is DC is much more lighter and hopeful now than it was under Didio |
