For the love of god. I know they want as many people as possible to be on the show, but this is not watchable and it kills the matches at the end of the card.

Well this is the big paycheck day for wrestlers so I don't mind it too much.

I don't mind it once a year, but if we move to 4-5 hour PPVs every single month, then yeah, I may have to succumb to burnout.

A 4.5 hour Hall of Fame, a 3 hour NXT, a 6.5 hour Mania, a 3 hour Raw and a 2 hour Smackdown in 5 straight days is what kills souls

The first hours of the main show of Wrestlemania flew by quick fast but those last 2 hours crawled to a pace

I will say I did not miss the gratuitous backstage segments and cameos. They had the Fashion Files with Foley and that was it. It was much more of a straight ahead Mania with focus on the actual matches, which I liked.

I agree to an extent. Between the hot opener, great Flair/Asuka match, mega hot Ronda match and Bryan/YES return, the crowd was too spent and burned for AJ/Nak and just grumpy for the main event which should have been just as hot seeing as they are he two main events.

An over six hour show is just too much. I have so many great memories of three hour wrestling PPVs. That was just enough time to really enjoy a show and walk away satisfied. There’s a reason the saying “Leave them wanting more” is good for business. You don’t want people leaving feeling tired, annoyed and having lost interest in your product. You want them excited to come back for more.

Two night show, please for all that is sane, two night show. Hell it would make it seem even more special.

It was a good thing that WWE did not have the PPV in New York City this year, for it was 42 degrees today (high temps) and very windy. WWE is taking a huge risk in 2019.
It would have to be rough to wrestle in that gear in 35-40 degree weather if weather is not on their side in the north.

That killed the crowd and impacted the overall quality of the show.

I like that they cut a lot of the fat out of the show and didn't have endless backstage legends segments or concert bits, but I think it could definitely use a bit more trimming down in places. Wrestle Kingdom has long matches and runs over five hours, but it remains constant in its action and paces itself really well. Mania usually doesn't feel so tightly paced or time, and it has lots of tripping points, but also the sheer bloat they have to struggle with in how many people to fit and how many Important People just makes a weird situation I'm not sure they can deal with without condemning more people to pre-show purgatory.

It is gonna be at least a week before I even get to watching the 3 or so matches I want to see from WM. Thanks to the FITE app and the code system I got all the WM Weekend shows they are carrying. And working on a way to see the Wildkat show that wasn't streamed.
But there is no way I could have, even 30 years ago when I was a kid and would watch hours of wrestling every weekend, sat there for 6 hours and watched WM.

It should be a one hour kickoff show with 1 or 2 matches and then a 3 hour 45 minute to 4 hour main card. That should be the goal for next year. It is tough with how stacked the rosters are, though.

If I remember correctly, they put heat lamps around the ring last time they were in NY.
