The ref and Carmella both did their jobs to perfection. I felt myself shaking and screaming just as hard as Carmella was anticipating that cash-in. I wanted to punch the ref so badly.

It worked for me two different ways.
1.) Carmella’s increased panic as Chioda slowly let the cash-in happen. After all those failed cash-in attempts, she was terrified it would happen again.
2.) It worked from Chioda’s standpoint, because as I mentioned, she’s tried multiple times now. This was basically him going “Are you really sure you want to do this, cause you f***ed up like five time already? This is your last chance. After this, the die is cast.”
I liked it.
