I guarantee Disney would cut them loose as soon as legally possible. Disney is well aware of the baggage WWE comes with. There's probably no less baggage than most things that happen in show business. Especially Disney, who can bury just about anything. John Lasseter comes to mind.

WWE's ratings don't seem that great to me, even relative to what else is on TV. I don't understand why they're so confident they'll get mad money. Like, there's a claim they'd beat Lucifer's 3.6 easily but them getting over 3.6 is a rarity. Doesn't it usually hover around 3.2 or 3.1? The size of your audience does matter. However, it is just one piece of the pie. If multiple people are bidding even if their ratings are down, that drives the price up. There is also the changing landscape of TV where channels are valuing live programming as they tend to be more attractive to advertisers. I also think it is important to note that TV executives are smart people but they make mistakes or misjudge areas they aren't familiar with (like wrestling). For example, I think Ronda Rousey is a great signing by WWE for a lot of reasons but the most important being that executives will inflate the price they are willing to pay because they see her as a draw and important person to have on their network. I don't think she will be a significantly unique draw (few people are anyways) but that is likely to be the perception.

The main issue is that show's that get half those viewers make much more money from ads. That's one reason why RAW is endless commercial breaks; they emphasize quantity to help combat the stigma of pro wrestling. That's why I don't buy this story.
Let's take a look at a few realistic scenarios:
1. Raw moves to two hours: How is that gonna make the show better? They aren't gonna cut Roman out of the show, so what gets taken out?
2. SmackDown gets moved to FS1: What happens when it gets preempted by local sports teams? Do you think Vince is gonna like that? Will WWE show reruns later that night like WCW Nitro used to do? Fox is paying way more for those other sports that they aren't gonna reschedule a bigger, more ad friendly game for a "rasslin' event".
3. Raw moves to Fox: For how long? There is no way Fox is gonna have that show on for over a year. Is there gonna be an overrun? Your late local news ain't gonna like that. That shit got Jay Leno canned in 2009 and he had better ratings than the WWE will get. Sure, the initial viewership will be good, but so was the XFL's.
4. The CW and MyNetworkTV: Why am I bringing this up? The WWE was cancelled by the CW and MyNetworkTV, yet people think Fox is gonna throw this type of money at them? The WWE has been cancelled on every network they have ever been on, except USA. What makes you think Fox is any different? I'm sure there is gonna be an out clause to their deal if Fox is smart about that.
TL;DR: I don't believe the Fox deal and think things about it are being overblown. #3 is the big one. Fox only has two hours of national programming each weeknight and it ends at 10 ET. The rest of the evening programming is controlled by the affiliates. That means Raw (or Smackdown) would be on from 8-10 ET. No overrun. It would have to be done on time. Local affiliates won't tolerate an overrun on a weekly show. I also can't imagine affiliates wanting wresting as the lead in to their news every week.
