so we are going to ignore the KSA stance on women, gays, Christians, Jews etc etc etc because OMG BROCK VS ROMAN IN A CAGE
WWE should be nowhere NEAR KSA....in fact, the KSA should be boycotted and embargoed like NK and Cuba.

Absolutely. Reflects really badly on them, especially with ongoing circumstances surrounding KSA in other countries.

The WWE likes money. Saudi government is offering a lot of money Hence WWE going there. Sucks for the women but it is a huge payday for the company. Exactly. WWE is a business first and foremost and when someone offers you a 7 or 8 figure payday for a show, turning it down won't endear them to their stockholders. Last time WWE ran a show in the middle east, in UAE I think, WWE had the first women's match there ever after several shows where they couldn't and this show maybe the first step in getting the ladies in there.

It has been reported that females can attend with permission of male guardians This is just a giant ploy for Triple H to finally emasculate Stephanie.

Considering pretty much every male superstar now gets a big show paycheck, but none of the women will.....sounds pretty bullshit to not give them their own show.
So it won't happen.

No. WWE are getting a f*** load of cash from this that can go back into the company, which they can spend on bringing in new female talent, maybe doing more stuff for the females.
This is a massive deal for the WWE, they're not gonna f*** it up cause the women can't wrestle, that would be astronomically stupid. This is a business, not a make-a-wish fantasy league.

If WWE took the money they got from this and used it to sign women for the 2nd Mae Young Classic it would be the best troll move of all time.

Vision 2032 is VERRRRRRRY slowly putting in various reforms, but the KSA has a very long way to go (and likely isn't going to get where the vast majority of people here would like to see it get to by that 2032 date). Basically this. There have been some positive strides towards equality in the last few years, and the current monarch is one of the most progressive the country has seen in generations, but many of the reforms aren't universally approved by the population, who see them as being too western-influenced. Many women oppose being able to work, drive, vote, or be allowed to do anything without their guardian's permission. It's culturally ingrained and simply giving women equal rights overnight would probably cause the same kind of social unrest as it would if the U.S. government struck the Second Amendment and banned guns. It'll take a very long time, but the KSA should be given credit for recognising its social flaws and taking steps to correct them, even if it does take a very long time.

The problem is that the KSA has the rest of the world over a barrel. Want to boycott and embargo them like North Korea and Cuba? Great. While you're at it, continue striking this blow with your wallet against the KSA and make sure not to buy anything made with crude oil (which mostly comes from the KSA)...like: gas, propane, butane (lighters), food in waxed packaging (like frozen veg), fresh fruit (usually factory ripened with ethylene), canned food, things in styrofoam packaging, dyed fabric, PG e-juice, any medicine that's in a pill form, or anything made with plastic. It sucks women can't fight on Greatest Royal Rumble, but please. If you really care about the women you're fighting for, TAKE THE L THIS TIME because the risks if they get the win here are FAR, FAR, FAR worse.

WWE has long been rather vulture-esque when it comes to money, and will latch onto anything if it makes a buck. The Be a Star Campaign when anti-bullying became popular, the women's revolution... So it makes sense they'd leap at a payday going against their current mission statement. Hell, pretty sure if Mark Zuckerberg wanted to shoot paintballs at Samoa Joe, they'd put it on as a main event on RAW.

I really hope Stephanie is on a plane with H3 and the gang. She's an executive, there should be no reason at least she can't attend.
She has a job to do.

Saudi Arabia is actually improving massively when it comes to equality for women.
It's far too late, and it's a slow process, but it is happening.
Females are allowed at the show, they are also soon allowed to drive. It sounds ridiculous to us but it's a massive step forward for them, you can't force these things. It's going the right way.

You mean that massive homophobe Brock Lesnar? Who's views we conveniently ignore because they don't effect us? If it was upto me I'd leave him in the cage halfway across the world.

I don’t really understand the logic that this show is hypocritical to what they have done with and how they have presented their women. How do you help make a change if you never get the door open?

We'll also ignore that Saudi Arabia is currently contributing to one of the greatest humanitarian crises on the planet in Yemen, spearheaded by their so-called "progressive" crown prince, but hey, money.

This is probably going to break all kinds of board policies, but if you're going to have that stance, how do you feel about WWE promoting shows in places like Kentucky, Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and South Carolina? Based on the elected representation in those states, you could substitute "Muslim," for "Christian," in your original post and you probably would describe the views of a damn lot of the people in those states. By the way I say that as someone who grew up in the Deep South and, upon moving, found a lot of folks up north to be every bit as prejudiced and ignorant as those I had encountered back home.

Here's the thing. When I go to someone's home, I follow their rules. Maybe some of those rules are stupid or backwards, but I'm a guest in their house. I show the proper respect.
WWE is running a show in someone else's home so to speak. It's not their place to try and rock that boat. That's a far greater issue than an American wrestling company has any chance at solving.

For what it's worth the main places WWE would even run in KY are Louisville and Lexington, which are typically the main two blue dots on the map if you get my drift.

Is it better to lock someone in a corner and view them as the enemy or visit them and converse with them and present them your hand. Just the idea of presenting a show there is a form of friendship that may open things up over there.

Female wrestlers are a major part of WWE now. The Saudis are effectively getting an incomplete show, IMO.
