Saw it today, really enjoyable. The high point was that we finally got a worthy villain and Josh Brolin played it brilliantly. Random observation: How was everyone human able to breathe normally on Titan? And any other planet for that matter Brolin was a perfect choice for this role. Kudos to the visual effects team too. They did a great job conveying so much emotion into Thanos' face.

More rambling -
While Thor's entrance in Wakanda got the biggest pop from my crowd, everyone cheered the first time Cap showed up. For a character who had relatively little screentime in this film, everyone in the audience paid attention when he was onscreen, and I really liked feeling that energy in the theater. It says something about his portrayal in the films and Chris Evans' performance that even when he's in a minor role, Cap continues to matter to people.

Even after a second viewing, the thing that got to me was: "Mr. Stark.. I don't feel so good.. something's wrong.. I.. Tony.. I don't, I don't want to go... I don't want to go.. I'm sorry."
Just the fear in a fifteen year old kid's voice. Brr.

Cap picking up the shield again is going to be a crowd pleasing moment too.

I do like how they kept Tony and Steve as far away from each other as possible in this. In fact, I think there was only one person that interacted with the both of them (Bruce). This was just too bleak for that triumphant reunion where Iron Man gives Cap his shield back. Save that for the next film.

Random observation: How was everyone human able to breathe normally on Titan? And any other planet for that matter In the original comic, Strange covered everyone with a spell during the assault on Thanos that allowed them to survive in space without any sort of suits. I'm assuming he did the same in the movie and just didn't mention it to anyone. I like that explanation better than the "Uhhh...the Iron Man/Spider suits and Star-Lord's helmet?" explanation they'd probably hand-wave it with.

I thought it was really, really good. But I'm a sucker for dark, unhappy endings. I was firmly on Team Thanos the whole movie and thought it was the best performance I've seen from a completely CGI character. I was glad that my favourite characters (Drax, Groot, Starlord and Mantis) died because it added gravity to the ending. And I was glad Spiderman died because I don't like him. The only person I really wished had died was Iron Man because I'm not a fan and the only person I wish hadn't died was Dr. Strange because I never saw his movie but what I saw of him in this one he seemed really cool, and Loki. I'd say it's a toss up between Infinity War and the first Guardians of the Galaxy as my favourite Marvel movies but both for totally different reasons.

I think Cap has surpassed Iron Man in popularity, honestly. Marvel/Disney still build everything around Downey, but I think it's misguided. I truly believe that Cap, Black Panther, and Star-Lord are more popular with moviegoers than Iron Man.

Honestly my theater really wasn't shaken up by the snap at all and were talking plenty. I think most of them suspected it was coming.

My friend and I both really enjoyed it. Never felt so tense watching an MCU film before. Almost every time a character was in danger I was thinking "oh shit."

The crowd at my screening popped for Cap's first appearance and Thor hitting the war zone too (I believe these moments were also helped out by the Avengers theme). I was also surprised earlier, to hear some cheers for the Marvel Studios logo. Speaking of which, anyone else find it a little goofy to see the IO in the MS logo turn into a 10? I know it's their 10th anniversary, but it still reminded me a little bit of L33T speak .

Cap picking up the shield again is going to be a crowd pleasing moment too. Tony: Hey Cap, I think you might need this... /Camera reveals that Stark has Cap's mighty shield as the Captain America theme plays in the background/ (I just marked out writing the above.)

Just the fear in a fifteen year old kid's voice. Brr. I'll proudly admit that I shed a few tears hearing that. The other one that got me was how distraught Rocket was, knowing it was the second time. I think they've done wonderfully showing how he's evolved as a character with how subdued he was even when Thor risked his life. My son was shaken a bit seeing the Spider-man part as well. Funniest moment for me - Drax thinking he was invisible.

Some theories to put out there (Some more likely than others):
Gamora is not dead - she's trapped in the Soul Stone (And the plot of Guardians 3 might be them trying to get her back)
Strange made Thanos THINK he'd won - by trapping him in the Mirror Dimension (That effect happens during their fight on Titan). That's why he wasn't too bothered about giving him the Time Stone because he knew it was just an illusion. What happens after that is from Thanos' perspective in the Mirror Dimension.
Cap and Iron Man will try and find the Stones themselves, leading to Cap fighting the Red Skull for a final time - and he does sacrifing himself for Tony the way Gamora was "sacrificed" for Thanos (That could also keep Cap inside the Soul Stone if they want to bring him back).
Captain Marvel will end up both using a new Infinity Gauntlet to reverse what Thanos had done and then fight him. By the end of the movie she'll be the leader of The Avengers.

Just got out of the movie. So, so many emotions. I barely have the words as an MCU fan.
Rocket is the only Guardian left. Wakanda has no king. Tony is helpless, Spider-Man died in his arms. Gamora’s dead. Steve just lost Bucky. Loki’s gone. What is life?
I thought it was incredibly fun and well made, but my inner fanboy needs time to process what he just saw.

Let’s not forget in Homecoming, a big point of contention with Tony was if anything happened to Peter while Spider-Man-ing. This was probably his greatest fear come true.
