This is such a hard film to judge. It felt, and maybe that was the intent, that I was watching half a movie. I didn't feel anything for the deaths b/c it's probably going to be retconned. Spidey has a sequel coming next year, so just knowing that ruins the shock factor for me. There isn't a death as of now that has that "oh shit" factor for me. As talked about earlier the feeling movie forward isn't that their dead and gone forever. It's more so how the hell do they get these people back. Now for the people that follow the this closely they know these characters are coming back after just getting introduced but those for people who don't know that, it is a sinking feeling especially for kids

Just under 3/4 of a billion dollars made Fox may regret opening Deadpool 2 so close to IW. Come next year best believe people are going to be weary opening their movies at least 4 weeks into the release of Avengers 4 You might have to give that a month to breath

The dying characters don't know they'll be coming back. The survivors don't know they're gonna bring their friends back. As far as any of them know, this is the end.

Just under 3/4 of a billion dollars made Big Monday drop though, especially compare to TFA and Black Panther (which has just had amazing legs). We'll see what the return audience is after the 'Holy Shit!' wears off. Still hope it does super well, going again next weekend.

Warning: will murder your speakers/headphones.
But goddamn. Again, ten years ago, I'd have never believed you if you told me this was a crowd's reaction to the Mighty Thor.

Well executed mostly, though anyone that's read the original story will know that the heroes will be coming back once someone else has control of the gauntlet.
Ultimately I feel this is the wrong story to use, since the original story sees the Earth heroes used as a distraction and nothing else, since Thanos can literally do what he wants and is a god compared to them in power. Honestly, even without the gauntlet, comic Thanos can wreck them all without much effort, with the exception of Thor. In addition, the Infinity Gauntlet story was more about Thanos himself than the heroes fighting him, and was a story that dragged in the entire cosmic pantheon of Marvel characters, not just Earth heroes. Honestly, they should have went with a different story.

While it's obvious characters are coming back, that still won't erase the face punch I felt when Parker told Tony "I don't want to go."

Loved the movie and loving the meme of Thanos's cull applying to other shows/movies. Here's my contribution!

Except I have a feeling only one of those four die in Avengers 4. I think Cap once again makes the ultimate sacrifice for the greater good. Tony retires and marries Pepper. Thor hangs around and is still a part of Phase 4. Hulk sticks around a bit longer.

They already killed off three official gods, doing a fourth like that is just mean. And Bruce still has plenty to do. Steve is dying I can agree on that. I could see them limiting Tony to small appearances as well as the Spider Mans but at the same time, the dude needs to stop. You actually just convinced me. Shit.
