She's not a character I've ever liked, if I do see the movie it'll be on Disney+, but I still want this movie to be a huge hit partially because it'd help inspire further movies of this ilk going forward and mostly to piss off those people. And I imagine it'll easily do the high end of that if not above it. Have to imagine people are starved for Marvel movies at this point.

...but if you love something, you need to set it free!" i thought if you really love something you make an ass out of yourself and browbeat the studio into giving you what you want, and then after they give you what you want you continue to make an ass out of yourself and browbeat the studio into giving in to your ever-changing demands

Coming out a week after Black Widow is Space Jam 2 with King James, the Looney Tunes gang and possibly the biggest gathering of old Hanna Barbarea characters as cameos and could eat through Black widow's week 2 box office

Actress says goodbye to dead character If she wanted to stay on I'm sure Marvel would find a way to make it happen.

He’s at least 1000 years old so unless Sylvie had an exact date that he’d be visiting Titan to drop a time bomb on him...
...than again if he was that means there’s a time branch where Tony, Steve and Natasha are still alive...but not necessarily as the Avengers unless another threat brought them together since it was Thanos that had Loki invade Earth.

Lemme guess, certain idiots who back a certain Cut? Honestly, I think it's less a brand war thing than it is an "ew, girls" thing. Sad thing is, I'm sure this movie will fall below expectations, and it will have nothing to do with the strength of the Marvel brand or there being a woman in the lead role. Setting COVID aside (and, for the record, there are theatres in my own metro area that haven't opened back up yet), this is a midquel about what happened between a movie that took place five years ago and a movie that took place three years ago, starring a character that died in a movie two years ago. Add to that, this movie being put on ice for over a year due to the pandemic, and WandaVision and Loki guaranteeing most Marvel fans have moved on to the multiverse stuff with Spider-Man 3 and Multiverse of Madness, and it just feels like this movie has missed its window. Hell, the best opportunity for a Black Widow solo probably would've been after Winter Soldier, and that came out back in 2014.

I wish I could go to the alternate universe where Feige was allowed to make a Black Widow solo movie back in 2013, like he wanted.

They should have put it out on Disney Plus at the start of the pandemic and made a win of it. It would have been held up as an example of pandemic movie success, but now it's going to be viewed as a mediocre flick.

So why risk another female-lead action movie and risk the same.

Not to mention the allegations and controversy surrounding it and it was doomed to fail
