Nia being champ is like Roman Reigns being champ except she actually sucks as bad as everyone says.

Please don't post about Nia injuring multiple people, without a link. Otherwise, you can stick to the topic of Alexa being injured, minus the Nia references. Thank you.

Yeah, I don't remember Nia actually injuring anyone else before. She's had some real bad botches and close calls (like when she dropped Charlotte on her head) but this is the first actual injury I remember her causing, and again it's wrestling shit happens. even wrestlers that are generally considered good have injured people. I heard Nia went backstage, asked Alexa to giv her a double high five, then walked away laughing maniacally. What a monster. she then went and got 3 turkey legs and ate them in front of the homeless ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

The only one I can think of that got injured while facing Nia was Bayley, and that was just from Bayley taking a routine bump after a shoulder tackle, which wasn't even the shoulder that Nia hit.

I really don't see this as Nia's fault. Mistakes happen.

If she is legit injured, have her do vignettes similar to Orton early in his career with RNN. I think she can pull it off, and it’ll help her in one of her major weaknesses

That's great news!
Not because she's hurt but because it'll mean we won't deal with Super Alexa for months & the division will HAVE to use all their talent.
...I know this comes out wrong.

The WWE really needs to figure out a way of rotating guys and girls out of the 'front line' every few months, to give their talent time to rest, rehabilitate and perhaps refill their creativity meters. It would also keep a lot of wrestlers fresh in the fans' eyes, and shorten feuds to more sensible proportions, with less match repetition and opportunities for more guys to prove themselves. I'm not saying this would prevent all in-match injuries, but it would be better in every other respect. Except for the wrestler's paycheck. While true, I think it should be offered in good faith. The majority may not take it but for guys like Punk it would have made all the difference in the world for him to get a couple months to heal and recharge his batteries.

It amazes me the rep Alexa has gotten for being dominant when she loses cleanly in nearly all of her matches.

Guys like Punk/Randy/Cena/Big Show had enough pull where they can take a month off here or there if they wanted to and they did. But they have secure spots on the card and have huge salaries so losing out on the house show checks does not hurt as much.

I think her and Nia get beat up too much but maybe my standards aren't very high. I thought they had a pretty good match yesterday, but I agree with others that her in-ring work doesn't jive with her character. She spends all her match builds running away from opponents then when the match is on she fights too fair and holds her own too much, I think she needs to be more tricky than that. Nia vs. Alexa shouldn't look like a fair fight in my opinion.

Which goes against a cowardly heel. That's nothing new. Triple H would run from guys and show fear during angles, too, even though his matches didn't reflect that attitude. Unlike him, though, she loses a bunch on TV, so when she loses at the PPV and drops the title, it's not nearly as meaningful. Nia beating her should be similar to Batista beating HHH at WM 21, but it's not because HHH didn't lose clean to Chris Jericho and Shelton Benjamin on Raw during the build up the way Alexa did clean submission losses to Asuka and Sasha during an angle with Nia.

I haven't seen Show/Cena/Orton speak on it but Punk pretty much HAD to use his pull to get time off, they didn't easily grant it out of respect or utilitarian concerns, especially with how Vince egged him on to get back ASAP. I'm sure they had more in their guarantees too but my point is that regardless of where they are in the card there are some, especially with families, who would value the chance to get time off.

Sucks that Alexa's hurt, and I wish her the best, though her character could probably use the break, anyway.

The fact that it takes awhile to beat her is pretty much all she has going for her, especially now that she doesn't have the title.

Yeah I remember that one. And then LAW radio the next night going on and on and on about how Nia injures people all the time, I think for every injury Nia is adjacent to it counts for 5.

It amazes me the rep Alexa has gotten for being dominant when she loses cleanly in nearly all of her matches. A lot of it's WHEN she wins. She does lose constantly on free TV, but her feuds very often amount to, "Alexa spends the whole time calling someone trash and then beats them decisively." The Bayley, Sasha, and Mickie feuds were all like that, she called out all their faults then beat them clean with none of them getting any real comeuppance on her in the end.
