They're really going to do Roman vs Jinder in Chicago. My Zod, the crowd is going to eviscerate them on a level we hardly even know existed.

As of yet, Seth Rollins hasn't been given a match at this PPV yet, and all the slots on the Raw side of the ladder match have been taken. So there is a very real possibility that The Big Dog vs The Vein Eventer will be for the IC Title, and Rollins will be left off this PPV.

There's also an equally very real possibility that Mahal won't win the IC belt, and that Rollins will defend it against someone else and everything will be just fine. Until it actually happens, I can't be cynical about it like that.

Seth doesn't deserve that evil. Hopefully a title defence vs. McIntyre or Elias or even the Singh brother is on the cards for the PPV.

Seth will probably do another open challenge, I figure.

Where the f*** is SAnitY?
Are we gonna have to sit through this Bludgeon Brothers/Good Brothers match just so we can have them debut against Harper and Rowan?

I think it’s more likely we get New Day v Sanity first, doing the trios battle. In that case... WHERE. THE f***. IS SANITY?! Why did they show us a vignette weeks ago and then pretend they don't exist since? What the hell is going on? Why put New day in the ladder match when they already have a full match with Hardy and either Joe or Bryan sitting out of it (likely Bryan). They obviously weren't needed to fill it out in that respect. Unless their member wins it, it seems stupid that Sanity is on the back burner just to wait and have a New Day feud when they should be out there killing Primo or something to at least build hype. I'm confused.

Last year, it really was a B show, being Smackdown exclusive and having a terrible card. But other years, it's easily been the fifth biggest show of the year. Some years, it's been the fourth, depending on how big the WWE Title match was, and how much Survivor Series sucked that year. This is actually an excellent point, because MITB usually has huge storyline ramifications in a way that Survivor Series just doesn't.

Depends on how they want to continue the Big Cass stuff, since that’s still going for some reason... either as a singles feud still or by both guys being in Money In The Bank. The problem is... It's Rusev. They could have Big Ass interfere, but Bryan still gets the win due to this strange perversion of making Rusev look bad for getting over, but also making Big Ass look like a chump because he gets owned by a little guy he berated for weeks, and hurts his overall credibility. Good call on that one.

Sasha Banks is the last participant in the women's match, after tonight's Gauntlet match.

This AJ vs. Nakamura feud is amazing in how the finish of each big match leads into a stipulation match that does not fit with what happened previously. AJ and Shin go to a double count out at GRR, so the match at Backlash is No DQ, which does nothing to stop count outs. So instead of getting counted out outside of the ring, they get counted out inside the ring when neither can stand for a 10 count following the double low blow. Nakamura wins the right to choose the next stipulation, so now they are in a Last Man Standing match, where if the same double low blow takes place, we just end up with another draw finish. Instead of say, choosing a stipulation where a double countout is an impossible scenario.
And I absolutely bet they will do the double low blow spot in the match, and commentary will be stuck with the unenviable task of playing up how the match could be over, and yet not make the decision for the LMS match not be the dumbest thing in the world.
