On the one hand, it seems pretty obvious that this Roman experiment isn't working and blaming the show's length and everything for the crowd leaving is pretty bullshit.
On the other hand, shows are too f***ing long and Vince and co. could learn a thing or two about time management, as well.

That part of Vince's XFL revival speech where he says "No one wants to watch a sporting program for three plus hours" gets louder and more obnoxious by the day in my head.

I just don't get the ridiculous amount of time it takes for one match to end and another to start on pay per views. Like, there's no need for it. It takes forever to wrap up one match and go into the next one.

when fans leave a show early because they hate the guy you're building the show around and you've come to think of it as "business as usual", you have a real problem.

Sure Vince, So why not put it 3 matches prior and when people start filling out you can slip further into your little delusions.

I would contain the excitement of a company led by Braun or Rollins as the guy for a good ten or so years, because that sure ain’t happening till the big dawg steps off the throne. They probably see it as another Cena situation where eventually they’ll get tired of booing him, only kids will watch, or they’ll boo him for fun rather than the fact that this company has been severely tone deaf for over a decade.

Either way it's a failure on the part of the WWE. If Vince wasn't upset, he damn sure should've been.

f*** this company, basically. After getting back in to WWE in mid 2010 I watched and loved it for a good 2 years. After that things just seemed to hit a wall and I've not watched a full show, since a couple months after Wrestlemania 29.
I've kept up with things to a point since then, reading news, these boards, watching the occasional match and it's clear the product has gone beyond stale. It's also clear that Vince doesn't give a damn, and no one else cares enough to say "No! You're wrong. This isn't working."
They have the best talent in the world right now, and that includes Roman Reigns, who IS a good worker, and yet they seem to purposely hinder themselves, put things in place that prevent them from putting out even a decent product on a consistent basis. They are content with coasting by, knowing that the kids will watch and buy the merchandise, and knowing that majority of wrestling fans will also watch, just in the hopes that things get better.
It frustrates me to no end that a company that clawed their way to the top and led the way to two major peak periods can churn out this bull shit on a near daily basis.
And this reaction from Vince is the company's current MO in a nutshell.

I've accepted that Vince is just delusional when it comes to Roman Reigns. Fine. It'll continue to haunt them over and over again but, whatever.
What gets me is that Vince knows for a fact that fans hate how long the shows are. And yet, his response is to do bugger all.
Get him out of there, already.

Regardless for how late it was.
If the crowd was invested in the main event they would have stayed.
They weren't so they started filing out.
I mean I guess blaming the time is better than blaming Samoa Joe for it but... yeah.

Vince is useless anymore. Love the dude, but it’s time for him to step aside.

As long as that stock price stays up, they are going to put as little effort as possible into the onscreen product.
And yes, Vince is out of touch and I'm not sure he was ever a great wrestling mind to begin with. He is a great business man, but I don't buy into him being some wrestling genius at all.

With the amount of firejuice Vince plugged into his veins over the years, he is bound to just spontaneously combust one of these days. Although I wouldn't put it past Vince to be working on a "Westworld" type project where he lives on as a robotic clone for another 70 years, just so he can keep pushing Reigns.

If they won't change their booking approach to Reigns then they should at least move him to the middle of the card. The fans can piss all over him, but still have a proper main event to look forward to. He's never going to be accepted as a hero who closes the show.

Either way it's a failure on the part of the WWE. If Vince wasn't upset, he damn sure should've been. Pretty much. To even get to the point where the perception could be "Fans are walking out in protest of the main eventer they hate", regardless of whether or not that's the reality, is really bad. John Cena at his worst crowd reactions never got to that level.

If Vince honestly believes that length of pay per views is the issue then how come the last few Wrestlemanias have been 6 hours plus 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
