You cannot give her the title now and leave the Raw women with sweet FA to do until Mania. That would be an unfathomably stupid choice.

Not Carmella? Carmella is easy to put as the sacrificial lamb because she sucks. With Nia, you're already giving her the tank of the company. Not many places to go from there.

I'm guessing Rousey wins but is cashed in on. Relatively easy way to at least stretch things out a bit more and to give the character some kind of momentum... though still feels way too early to do it.

Yep, despite what the title says, it's Nia who challenges Ronda (who even lampshades the fact she only had one official match in WWE)

All I know is this match is going to be awful. Considering that Nia's the experienced one & hence will probably be the one to carry the match, yep. Nia carrying a match. To quote Bryan Alvarez, "Where's my sword?

After that Jax promo at Backlash, I'm already done with her reign. I know this place largely hates Alexa, but I love her because she just *gets* how to get her character across in a way Nia does not. Nia is not convincing in any capacity. She showed potential in her feud with Alexa leading to WM, but it's just not there enough. Maybe down the road. That said, this seems way too soon for Rousey. She's yet to even have a singles match, and I shudder to think how the promos will be between these two. Nia/Rousey sounds like it could be a big time match in terms of promotion (Nia being unstoppable, Rousey being the one to take her out), but I'm not very optimistic about how this will actually unfold. The part that's mainly hated about Alexa is how they book a 5 foot 100 lb woman to come across as a chickenshit heel to build to a match, but when she has the match, she's like Supergirl and spends the majority of the match just dominating.

Wouldn't the easier, smarter thing be something like Jax calls out Rousey and asks for a non-title match, to prove a point that Ronda can't hang in WWE, she's not championship material, blah blah blah. Then, Rousey wins cleanly, she takes Jax to the limit, and Jax ducks her for weeks/months as Ronda racks up wins against the rest of the women's roster. Then Rousey beats Jax for the belt some time in the summer, and you start setting up Ronda vs. Asuka or Ronda vs. Charlotte (or both) to carry you through the fall, and maybe even to Wrestlemania.

Oh, I have no doubt that they would go full Brock. It remains stupid in both cases. It's arguably even worse here as there's no secondary title to pick up the slack.

Not really an option since they just changed Nia to a face unless they want her to be The Big Show

Haven't looked it up to be sure but I think Ronda has more appearances this year than Brock does and is involved (or was I guess now) in a lower card feud. She may not be on house shows but she's been in around more than Lesnar it seems.

She’s not like most girls, because even she must succumb to Ronda Reigns
More like Ron Cena.

There's not many net positives with doing this this early especially with Nia as the opponent given her own limited skills. Ronda did extremely well in that tag match, but this is a whole different scenario to just throw her in the deep end; especially if you are givin her the belt.
