I'd say yes if I had any inkling that they'd do it right this time.

Yeah, because you spouting about revenue and claiming to be THE guy while commentary blow your jocks and twisting the narrative totally is going to signify that you’re the bad guy in the feud.

Well, he's not wrong, it would work. Why, with a matchup like that it'd guarantee that he'd be booed out of the building. Which definitely wouldn't be the case with any other opponent. Except for... No, yeah, that happens anyway. Why waste Bryan to get the exact same result?

Dude you 'retired' the f***in Undertaker and gave a TREMENDOUS one sentence heel promo the next night. Why the hell didn't that do it? seriously that was probably THE BEST heel promo I think I've ever heard... he looked like a smug prick and said like 4 words. then next week... golly gee whiz of course I respect the Undertaker.

Last time we did that, this happened. Bryan even had to say he didn't give a f*** about the fans booing Reigns. I definitely don't wanna see those 2 in the same ring again after that last shit. Man, Roman hardly gets that level of mixed reaction nowadays. It’s scary what giving up your signature baby blue contact lenses will do to a crowd

The Roman we're not getting is the Roman we deserve. We’re going to say this for ten years as Roman continues to be a POLARIZING FIGURE.

I miss DBry's long ass hair.
Roman can forever suck eggs. I don't even get his point? He'd get booed, like always. The announcers would blow him, like always. Just because you're fighting someone popular (or THE MOST popular) doesn't make you a heel.

That could've gone down as one of the greatest moments in wrestling history had they gone through with a heel turn after that. I'm not saying heel Roman would've brought A NEW BOOM PERIOD or anything, but I consider it one of the biggest missed opportunities ever.

Alternately, he could be saying that there's no way he gets booked as anything other than a heel against Bryan, which would make sense because at this point, WWE would have to realize that there's no way to get the fans to boo Bryan, ever.

If they had just turned him heel after beating Taker at last year's Wrestlemania he'd already be the top face in the company.

No, yeah, that happens anyway. Why waste Bryan to get the exact same result? I think because for him to turn heel, it'd have to be someone for him to definitively turn heel on. It'd need to be someone that would put the character in a place to where he'd have to change to deal with it. Like, he's not going to come out there and decide to turn heel because Curtis Axel made him upset. That's the part of the heel turn scenario that's easy to overlook: it's not going to be a demotion, so it'd still need to be on a top face.

I wouldn't be surprised if Roman wants to go heel and has requested it, but keeps getting shot down. Of course it's Vince. He wants Roman to be the biggest star in the company. He wants Roman hosting SNL, doing mainstream stuff like Rock, Austin, etc... He's never going to happy with Roman just being a main eventer and one of the top guys. He wants much more, even if it's at the expense of the product and the rest of the roster. WWE is making a lot of money these days, but they could be making a lot more...
