So that whole Brock Lesnar V's Randy Orton deal where Lesnar busted Orton open with the elbows to the head kinda confused me?
What was the whole deal about? Did Lesnar go into business for himself? Was Orton expecting it? And are the rumours that Randy Orton was awarded his last WWE Championship run by Vince as a way of making it up to him?
I just don't get why it happened as there was hardly any pay off after,

Also, legit answer : Michael Hayes asked Randy to let Brock bust him open legit. Randy agreed. Then Brock went Buckwild with it and took it too far. Hayes didn't tell anybody else that it was going to happen. So Jericho lost his shit.

Brock had recently gotten busted for steroids after his UFC return, which made public rounds and I guess in WWE's eyes made him less of a believable, threatening tough guy. So they decided that Brock was going to bust Randy open hardway and book a weird finish to the match that made it look like Brock had gone off-script and lashed out at him, in an attmept to work the fans and make Brock seem tough again. Because they kept it to a very tight circle of people who knew, Jericho confronted Brock for it and there was almost a fight. In the end, the news leaked so Brock didn't look much better, Randy was off the shelf for like a month due to a concussion he got in the process, and WWE basically just got someone hurt for no reason other than out of some feeling they had to work to make Brock look good, because they're idiots.

With the rope ddt, Orton always pulls the person to where their ankles are on the ropes, so they can take the bump on their stomach. With Brock, his knees were on the rope, and Orton dropped down, and spiked him in the process. |

As someone who tried using colored text for a bit, it ends up being more effort than it's worth after the 10th time using it, lol. And yeah, them wanting Brock to intentionally bust someone open always strikes me as pointless. Why do something you know you'll have to edit for future showings solely to establish a guy who's already established? Then they did it again with Reigns so I don't f***ing know. |
