Now this is one big inconsistency throughout the NOES series. The one certainty we know is...die in dream = die in real life. How much injury carries over to the real world fluctuates. On one hand, teens Freddy has stalked wake up with burns and cuts, but on the other hand for example, Debbie's parents didn't discover her corpse as a giant cockroach, did they? There's other instances I'm sure of his victims not turning up as damaged as they are in the dream world.
Feel free to discuss.
My guess is, the more powerful Freddy is, the more damage he can do and that damage can be seen in the real world. (I base this assumption on how Freddy vs. Jason worked) But then again, there seems to be some killings that would be really unusual to see for other people.

I think most of them are physically manifested in ways related to how they were killed (Debbie more than likely was found with her arms broken and her windpipe crushed by the weights, Phillip jumping off the roof, Jennifer smashing her head through the TV) and some just pass away in their sleep. We know for sure that Glen's mom witnessed her son basically becoming a blood flood, and more than likely, she's probably been committed from having that happen and trying to explain how her son basically exploded.

One of my favorite parts of the series are the deaths that you really can't even directly blame on Freddy.
Debbie falls asleep working out, weights crush her throat.
Kristen lights a cigarette and falls asleep. The cigarette causes a fire in the room.
In part 5 Dan falls asleep at the wheel and gets into a car accident.
Sure they were all tormented by him in their dream but they were still killed by real-life factors.

NOES - Tina is sliced up so it looks like Rod did it - Rod looks like he hangs himself in his cell. - Glenn......no clue how they explain that one
NOES 2 It's Jessie killing them with Freddy's glove till Freddy hits the real world
NOES 3 - Phillip looks like Sleepwalking Suicide/Accident (they establish he's a sleepwalker) - Jennifer smashes her head through the TV
The rest no clue as they don't show it after but as a guess - Taryn - Heart attack from previous drug use - Will - Death in sleep - Nancy's dad - Impaled on car (Dr Gordon saw it as Freddy controlled his skeleton)
NOES 4 - Kincaid - Heart attack - Joey - Drowns in his water bed - Kristen - Fire - Rick - Not shown - Sheila - Asthma attack - Debbie - Weights fell on her (The the popular theory, And it makes sense)
NOES 5 - Dan - Car crash - Gretta - she chokes but she doesn't eat anything, But they'll blame her anorexia probably - Mark - His shelves fell on him
Freddy's dead.....I don't care

Freddy was more scary in the first two imo
How the heck did he get over into the real world in NOES 2 ??
