That was probably the best handicap match I've seen since Shield vs CM Punk.

It was a lot of fun, and the finish made me chuckle.

I hate sounding like such an NXT fanboy (I know I am), but its incredible how they seem to be able to do everything better than the main roster. A handicap match has no right to be so enjoyable, and when I saw it was happening I groaned. Yet it was.

How good were Dream and Ricochet as a tag team? At some point that needs to actually be a thing.

I enjoy NXT more than the main shows so much it isn't even funny at this point. Like I want to just grab the creative staff on RAW and Smackdown, shake them and point and scream "DO THAT"
This is the first time in ages I've enjoyed a handicap match. Usually it is about someone like Cena or Reigns "overcoming the odds"

Read the results and rolled my eyes because it sounded like early 2000s WWE. Take the two hot acts and feed them to a monster in a squash just because...well, reasons.
I was wrong. So wrong. That was great. Whoever came up with the lay out of the match did a fantastic job.

Like I want to just grab the creative staff on RAW and Smackdown, shake them and point and scream "DO THAT" Then they’ll shake you, point and scream “BLAME HIM”. You turn around to see where they’re pointing and you just see Vince standing in the corner eating a steak wrap. (“WHAT ARE YOU STARING AT, DAMMIT?”)

I agree. Great match.
Despite Lars Sullivan.

And Hunter from all accounts lets the people he put in charge actually fo their job instead of swapping things the day of. Granted it's easier than the main roster as they aren't also beholden to advertisers or the network... and it is an hour a week instead of 6. but still, if Vince backed off a bit more I think the show would improve greatly... but that's never going to happen

At this point I have faith in NXT to book a logical and captivating lumberjack match.

Lars Sullivan is an awesome heel who doesn't give a shit what anybody thinks and doesn't spot to pop the crowd, what is there not to like?

Lars Sullivan is an awesome heel who doesn't give a shit what anybody thinks and doesn't spot to pop the crowd, what is there not to like? Yea a guy like Lars isn't flashy but when you look at him as a whole he's damn impressive
His hype I guess you can say has slowed down (If you want to call it that) over a few months compared to last year when he was ascending up the ranks. He won't win any titles on NXT not that he needs to but the inevitable clash between him and Strowman on the main roster is going to be massive

He's excellent in his role. His presentation has been fantastic and now that he's getting to work with the top talent, he's really impressed me. I thought he was ready to move up to the main roster honestly, his work has been that good as far as pacing, psychology, the entire package. I'm definitely a fan.

Oh yeah I think he's ready but the problem is you got to have something for him to do which could get lost in the shuffle. Obviously, having him squash guys for a few months could work but the obvious waiting game would come in the form of him and Strowman.
His gimmick will evolve over time as well. The man with a brain of a professor but the strength of a gorilla can work as you can give him a very cerebral gimmick without making him the generic sadistic heel. He's def a guy who will get the call up come Summerslam. Too bad Heyman doesn't work well with anyone else because I think a pairing of him and Sullivan would have been good as Heyman wouldn't have to talk as much and it be a different dynamic as the one he has with Brock

A handicap match has no right to be so enjoyable, and when I saw it was happening I groaned. Yet it was. NXT has the freedom of not worrying about TV networks, therefore Vince let's them do whatever. Including simple, linear booking.

No need for another freakish tough guy. Huh? Why would having one of something mean we shouldn't have another? Especially when the other is one of the most over in the company. Heck by that logic we don't need Braun we have Brock. Also no need for a cruiserweight division just keep one of em and we got it covered.

No need for another freakish tough guy. Nuts to that, we're in an age where hosses and monsters that are worth half a damn are super important because everyone is a workrate techincal guy now. Wrestlng is at its best when there's a large mix of styles and body types. These days, being a roughneck big ass dude is what makes you stand out from the pack.
