I have this weird feeling that Kacy Catanzaro may get pushed to the moon in this depending on how well she's progressing. I can't for the life of me find a single piece of footage of the house show matches she's had, so I have no idea if she's any good or not.

Leva Bates had heat during the Blue Pants stint but maybe they've gotten over it. Also she's local to Full Sail so would be a cheap one to bring in for some shots.

Just one. I just want one Canadian representative in the tournament this year. LuFisto, Nicole Matthews, Chelsea Green, Vanessa Kraven, Addy Starr, somebody.

I'd love to see Millie McKenzie in this but she's probably too young for WWE to want to use these days. Didn't Nia Jax destroy a sixteen-year-old earlier this year? Seventeen-year-old, I think.

Based on the match announcement for the Royal Albert Hall, it looks like they're considering Jinny, Killer Kelly and Isla Dawn to be a part of the tournament. Dawn is currently dating Aleister Black, so that's as good a connection as any, but she's a very good wrestler in her own right.
As for the tournament, I'd think they'd want Newell/Storm in the final, they had very good matches against each other in the indies, and I know key people in the Performance Center are very high on Nixon. I'd expect Kacy Catanzaro to get a lot of people talking if she's in this.

You have to figure Kacy is progressing pretty quickly considering she just started training at the beginning of the year, had her first live event match not too long ago, and is already being used at TV tapings.
I hear Jessie Elaban has really progressed through the ranks as well, but I’ve never seen a match of her’s. She could be someone who probably loses in the first round but has a good outing.

www.tokyo-sports.co.jp/prores/womens_prores/1021549/ (in Japanese, Google translate will give you the general gist of things) The rumours of Io Shirai (Japan) coming into WWE have started up again... You may remember last year when she was all but signed to come in at the same time as eventual Mae Classic I winner Kairi Sane, but medical issues found in testing nullified any chances of that and WWE ended up only signing Sane. Now Tokyo Sports is reporting that Shirai is about to leave STARDOM (as early as the June 17 Korakuen Hall show) to go to WWE, and conveniently enough, in time for Mae Classic II. I mean, I’ll believe it when I see it, but that’d be a hell of a talent to have on the books, based on what I’ve heard about Shirai.

Newest speculation from the Observer reports the possibility of Xia Brookside (England, daughter of current Performance Center trainer Robbie Brookside) and Deonna Purrazzo (USA, was an emergency for the first Mae Classic) being entrants: EDIT: In fact, Casey Michael is reporting that Purrazzo is signed to WWE, regardless of whether she enters the Mae Classic or not. www.squaredcirclesirens.com/wwe-signs-deonna-purrazzo/

I've seen Xia Brookside once and she is absolutely fantastic. She would be a great choice. It was inevitable but I didn't expect it so soon.

Xia Brookside is a name I’ve seen a ton but I’ve never actually seen one of her matches. Deonna would be another outstanding pickup for the women’s roster.

I know Chelsea Green wrestled for MLW recently but as far as I know she isn’t on contract there. She’d be a good pick for this, and Canada could finally be represented.

She probably isn't but Xia Brookside feels like the youngest wrestler I know of out there. She was born October 1999. That just makes me feel f***ing ancient!

Won't happen. She retired due to the concussion caused by Sage Beckett all those years ago.
