That's the one thing that always bugged me about Arthur.
In Marc Brown's stories, there were humans, and the town was realistic as there was both urban blight and revitalization projects. But in the cartoon, everyone is an animal with all the guest stars being whatever the hell Arthur became, and the town is pretty and perfect.
