The Young Bucks are NOT talentless spot monkeys who do nothing but paint-by-numbers, get-their-shit-in matches with superkicks filling the gaps but can, in fact, tell stories in the ring. This one. I still may not like them, but I respect the hustle and hard work.

I remember thinking it was a bit much as a kid when Owen Hart put Jason Sensation in the Sharpshooter. However, later on, after listening to some podcasts with Jason Sensation, it would not surprise me one bit that he was the one who pitched the idea of getting attacked by Owen. He had said that he was a huge fan of the Hart family, and also that Owen loved Jason's impression of him in real life.

Didn’t like CM Punk up until his pipe bomb promo. Didn’t get him at all.

Oh here's one: women's wrestling.
Five or six years ago you could not have convinced me that I'd pay to see women wrestle at all, let alone all-female cards, or WWE cards that would have all-female main events.

Jeff Jarrett. Now, I *still* don't think he was as big a star as he (or WCW) thought he was, but in terms of his ring work, charisma, etc. I've come to think that he's never quite gotten a fair shake either.

I loathed Bryan Danielson on the indies. I thought he was another boring ass technical wrestler with no personality.
He’s one of my favorites now and has loads of personality

John Cena. while his Superman push was still an unbearable mistake, in retrospect he's the only guy in the world who could still remain over in spite of it. Roman Reigns falling on his face in the same situations is the proof.

As a kid, I was a WWF fan through and through, and saw NWA/WCW as a definite secondary product. Kind a Digimon to their Pokemon.
Now, I can see that while WWF had better production values, NWA/WCW was most definitely putting out the better product. Going back and watching their weekly TV, I would much rather sit through an opening match(!!) of Jushin Liger vs. Brian Pillman than a Kamala vs. Barry Horowitz squash.
If it wasn't for commentary teams like Heenan/Monsoon and Vince/Ventura, a lot of 1985-1994 WWF weekly TV would be pretty tough to slog through.

That wrestling isn't as important as good story and character. What's a good movie without story and character?
