A sort of follow up to the flashback to the Miz and R-Truth being so damn violent and frightening that even the camera man didn’t feel safe in WWE, what other things have happened that now, with hindsight and everything, seem weird or hard to believe?
Example:
The Great Khali pinnned the Undertaker, clean, with a foot on the chest. The Ascension were feared monsters and the longest reigning tag champs on NXT.
And go.

Bryan beating HHH, Orton and Batista all in one night at WM30. Like Cole said, Bryan doing that's probably the most impressive 1 night performance of anyone in WWE history. That's 3 legends. Those 3 dudes were running through guys from 02-05.

- Curtis Axel has singles wins over John Cena and Triple H.
- There was a time when people were excited about Gallows and Anderson in WWE.

I remember a few years back, when Bayley was in NXT, folks discussing her like she'd rival or surpass Cena in popularity and merch sales once she hit the main roster.

Also worth mentioning that khali squashed Cena in a random SNME episode from 2007, back when Cena was at his hottest

It was insinuated that Jeff Hardy was found in a stairway after ODing the night before a WWE Title match on PPV.

There was a period for 3 months where it looked like Alberto Del Rio was going to be the top face on Smackdown long-term

Those 3 dudes were running through guys from 02-05. Throw in Daniel Bryan beating John Cena at the previous SummerSlam and the only thing crazier than his run of wins is that there are some people who actually believe that WWE and specifically Vince didn't really want to push Bryan. If Bryan's May 2013 - April 2014 was a reluctant push I'd love to see what an enthusiastic one would have looked like.

If Bryan's May 2013 - April 2014 was a reluctant push I'd love to see what an enthusiastic one would have looked like. Probably would have involved a Rumble win instead of a weird Bray Wyatt feud Bryan not only lost, but was supposed to be in long-term before the Yes chant went viral in Actual Sports and Vince realized having the guy behind it walking around like a garbage man in a trance like he's on some bad antidepressants halfway through a "my doctor is having my try different drugs to find which one is right for my brain chemistry" approach to treatment, and something that didn't have to involve a weird convoluted path to course correct because of said Rumble win. Or maybe it would look like the push Roman Reigns has been getting for years, particularly in the spots where they try to play it as Roman vs. the company in a way that screams that they don't actually understand what made the Bryan push work and are just endlessly plugging away at a misunderstood version of things, like someone trying to drunkenly plug their phone into the charger, but instead of the charger it's their cat's tail. Because it feels a lot easier to believe the Bryan thing wasn't planned and happened unexpectedly, and that their misaimed attempts to recapture that lightning in a bottle with Roman have failed due to the fact it wasn't an idea they came up with, than to think that Vince McMahon and a revolving door of writers hired off the street outside of NBC headquarters after the pilot for their fart comedy got rejected are playing four-dimensional chess against their audience.
