I've noticed my lumbering old dinosaur of a computer struggle to play some recent games at a passable speed, even though I meet all the requirements. I'm going to list my specs and can some computer knowledgeable people tell me whether I should upgrade (And if so, what, and in what order) or just burn it and save money for a new one? Keep in mind I know what none of these numbers mean. I know. I am teh embarassment to teh internet
3.00E GHz Pentium 4 512MB PC3200 DDR SDRAM 200GB (Ok I know what GB is) 7200 RPM NVIDIA GeForce 5200 AGP 8X graphics card 128 MB video memory with TV Out (Does this mean I can look at my computer on my TV?)
HELP!

HELP! That's pretty good try updating your RAM to a 1 gig (or whatever is considered up to date) plus try for a new graphics card maybe a radeon 9800 (I have that). *Note* i think it's time i got a new one, this one is about ready to die.

I'd recommend doubling your RAM and probably getting a new 3D card. Also TV out does mean that you can hook your computer up to a TV and output the display to it, i believe via an S-Video cable (though I don't know for sure).

yeah, it's gonna be s-video with your card. some people like to output their computer screen to tv using s-video, i'd prefer to not watch my videos in a native resolution of 320x240. it's all relative.
i recently upgraded my computer, and it screams on everything. fairly inexpensive too.
in your case, i would upgrade your video card and your ram. processor can probably still squeak by for a little while longer.

If your PC is running sluggish, are you good about cleaning the thing out (cookies, temp files, defragging the hard drive, etc?)
At least once a week should be good for the system.

Yeah I just defragged it last week and I got like 20 GB free space. The CPU is good on a whole just not when I'm playing a recently released PC game.
