Hope not, because even if he's considered a Skywalker rather than a Solo, killing his father made him irredeemable for me. but didn't take the shot at leia in TLJ ..... And was all "Eh, whatever" when his wingman took the shot instead.

I always thought Han should have activated the lightsaber to protect Kylo Ren. “I can’t let you do this.”
Would have added some tension to his light side/dark side thing, would have had to lie to Snoke about it, etc
Could still reveal that I suppose.

I don’t think we ever saw Kylo hit the button and he did look suprised as he did it

I dunno, might see it?
I'm not a gigantic Star Wars guy - to be honest not even seen the prequels, Return of the Jedi, or any of the spinoffs, movies or otherwise - but I thought TFA and TLJ were fun popcorn movies. Granted the big issue I've had since seeing the latter is not really understanding why we're supposed to care about seeing Kylo Ren and Rey fight for the third movie in a row, really the way it just tossed every plot complication aside killed any real interest I had in more of it... but it is a pretty interesting teaser for sure.
Don't think I'll see it first showing like I did with the last two but if the reviews are decent might make time for it that weekend.

Wow. Blew my mind. Particularly that end. Basically..This is going to be one huge fan-service love-letter to the fandom. Which isn’t the worst tactic to take. All things considered. Ya gotta wonder.. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}The ramifications of this film. It’s gonna be huge. Emperor. Skywalkers. The Prophecy. Snoke? Knights of Ren. Rey. Oh man. It’s exciting again.

Ignorant hot take: Luke was the last Jedi - Rey is the first Skywalker, a new line of Force-users who eschew the trappings of the Jedi in favor of something more...balanced.

I know it's literally 2 minutes but with all those callbacks, I'm getting Star Trek: Into Darkness vibes from it.

So if McDiarmid's presence wasn't leaked, who else could've slipped under the radar?

Palpatine survived being thrown into a thing, and will now appeal to the people of the galaxy to reject all this Republic/First Order nonsense and return to the stability of the Empire.

It's amazing that TLJ has become this bad word. Granted, it does have some GLARING flaws to it, but I felt like a kid again during that last act. When Luke walks out of the dust of Kylo's firing squad and dusts his shoulder off, it was akin to Thor landing on Wakanda.

I think it's one of those things with certain movies that over time opinions can shift. Carpenter's the Thing bombed and critics tore it a new one, but over time opinion has changed it to being either Carpenter's first or second greatest movie (depending on your opinion of Halloween). I recall all the hype of Phantom Menace and I don't think it was until a couple years later where opinion really turned sour on it. I kind of had a meh attitude on TLJ until recently. Maybe that the influence of Redlettermedia over me, but outside of the Skywalker/Ren battle I found a lot of it unneccessary (the whole casino section) and more concerned with subverting expectations.

The only real issue I have with The Last Jedi is that scene in the middle at the casino. It just seemed like an excuse to show off some alien races and a lot of CGI. Then they have an unnecessary chase on those weird (whatever they are) animals. I understand that the stable kids are important to the plot, especially the final scene but that whole segment dragged.
