Phoenix will be good. I know this especially after seeing You Were Never Really There. I loved that movie. I still think about it even a month after seeing it.

I'll never understand the Joker fanbase. Most overexposed villain ever.

I'll never understand the Joker fanbase. Most overexposed villain ever. You can make him whatever villain you want to fit whatever movie you are trying to make
The problem becomes between the Arkham series and now some movies they have relied on him too much when Batman has a whole gallery full of people who can carry a movie with him
Honestly, I don't hear a lot of people saying all right another joker movies but more so well I guess. The Joker fandom is still high but he's used way too much in the last 10-12 years. People were very disappointed with the Arkham Batman Origins twist and then while Mark Hamill is the all time great joker he wasn't needed for Arkham Knight

Yeah, the Origins twist was so unnecessary. Poor Black Mask, the Arkham games kept making him looking like a schmuck.

Yea, Black Mask is a good villain and like they did in the comic they could have made him a central figure dealing with Catwoman and also the red hood. Tho we got it as DLC in Arkham Knight there could been more for him to do
Having Black Mask be the Joker in Origins was the straw that broke the camels back imo after they just killed the Joker off in Arkham City

At this (senseless) point, I expect Leto to still get his own Joker movie as well.
Who knows/cares.

If this was announced five to six years ago I might be excited but with the prospect of this plus that Jared Leto standalone Joker movie we have reached peak Joker saturation and I do not want to see another rendition of him for a very very long time.

Am I the only one who thinks that Joker doesn’t need a f****** origin story?

Am I the only one who thinks that Joker doesn’t need a f****** origin story? His 1989 origin was the best one. "It's me.......sugar bumps!"

Best wishes to Joker #5628. I'm sure he'll be better than #5627.

Cool, I like Joaquin so could be good. Leto wasn't great. Dark and gritty. lol Oh DC. Never change. I think Dark and Gritty is fine for Batman related properties, Gotham being a film Noir city if ever there was one.

... Darker Stories? Yes, darker and more gritty is exactly what DC movies are missing This was my immediate thought.

The tone can be dark, but DC movies are literally too dark, so that I can barely see what's happening on screen.

This feels to me like a sneaky way to fix the Batman side of things. They're saying it's a standalone now, but I will not be surprised if/when Joaquin's Joker ends up being the Joker in Matt Reeves' "standalone" Batman series.

That’s good, cause Leto’s Joker sucks ass. Except their both still gonna be the Joker? I’m confused. This is why I generally stick to Marvel.

The title has been confirmed as "Joker", and the release date will be October 4, 2019. Wonder Woman 1984 comes out on November 1, 2019. .......whose idea was this to possibly leech heat off of WW84 for a Joker movie not that many people really want, and how many promotions will this exec get over the next 25 years at WB?
