Latest word per WON is broken neck, out 9-12 months and most importantly no nerve damage detected.

A timetable like that could put him on track to return in time for next year's Best of Super Junior, but I can't imagine somebody coming back from a broken neck and getting tossed into a hellacious tour like that.
Take your time, Time Bomb.

No nerve damage is a positive, since that could've been the end of his career if there was.

Take as much time as he needs to recover

Take your time, Time Bomb. Hiromu is crazy enough that he'd gladly jump right back in to a tour like that, but I really hope he doesn't. With this timetable, I'd aim for a big return match at Dominion, then work the undercard tags on the G1 tour to ease himself back in. But yeah, Hiromu should take as much time as needed with an injury like this. He's young enough to still have a full career ahead of him, and he'll still be beloved when he returns.

Glad there was no nerve damage. The neck is a f***ing terrifying part of the body to have hurt, so I'm glad that this is probably the best case scenario for this injury. Take your time, Time Bomb, we'll wait.

Hiromu is my favourite wrestler going atm, I was so excited to see him at WK in Jan and so heartbroken and worried when he got injured. Massive relief there's no nerve damage but even so I'm seriously concerned. New Japan work a VERY physical style with a lot of head drops, Hiromu works an even crazier style, and no broken bone is ever quite the same. He's going to really, really have to scale it back and I worry New Japan will be too much for him. I don't want him to get hurt again or worse. f***. I really, really hope he makes a 100% recovery but do you ever from an injury like this?

It wouldn't be too farfetched to say you'll have people counting his bumps for the rest of his career because as you get older the wear and tear on your body will continue to get worse

As much as I love watching Hiromu it’s gonna be very hard to sustain his current in-ring style after that kind of injury. I could be wrong but he looks like a fairly stocky dude on camera & commentary often talks up his ‘heavy hands’.... I could conceivably see him returning as a heavyweight. BUSHI can still rep LIJ in the juniors a little while longer & if they want a younger up-and-coming future ace of the division I could see Kawato filling that gap after his excursion. Hoping for a successful & speedy recovery for Hiromu but I would have no issue buying him as at least an IC level heavyweight with the right booking....

They'll have no choice but to strip him of the title due to his injury.
Like I said earlier in the thread, I'd bring back The Super J Cup during Destruction and crown a New Champion there.

Next champ is gonna be Ishimori or Kushida I imagine. Kushida's great but it's really about time he moved on up dude's done all he can as a junior, but Kushida/Ishii for the NEVER title, making it a real openweight belt, would be great. I'm pulling for Ishimori, he was my dude over 10 years ago in NOAH in the yellow pants and Superstar Elbow days and I was so pumped when he debuted. Strap him up.

Don't get me wrong it's not because Kushida is over the hill. I just want them to f***ing move him to the HW division already

If they ever want never to be the open weight thing it was, he should get it.

I think Goto and Kushida can be a banger tho. It's time for Kushida to graduate. Ishimori can hold the fort until Hiromu comes back

I kind of want KUSHIDA to get a run as ROH champion for a while. See if he can be a "crossover" guy to help spearhead NJPW's expansion. I wasn't a big fan at first, but he won me over big time during BOSJ this year.

Those NJPW/ROH relationship ties really aren't as crazy strong as they used to be
They could have done a lot more with Kushida when he won the TV title like last year

Very excited to have him return, and worried he might do it too fast and go too hard.
