Raven lost a hair vs. hair match to Shane Douglas in early TNA, and lost a good portion of his scalp in the process.
Also, Nash lost one to Jericho in 2003 as a blatant way to prepare for a movie role.

Not a straight up hair vs. hair match but Roxxi lost her hair in some sort of Russo special match.

Not a straight up hair vs. hair match but Roxxi lost her hair in some sort of Russo special match. And speaking of Russo, he himself beat Ric Flair in a hair match, in one of the biggest low points of his booking tenure of WCW.

Also, Nash lost one to Jericho in 2003 as a blatant way to prepare for a movie role. One of my favorite tna moments, Mike Tenay's reaction made it even better, "This is bullshit! I lost my objectivity and I don't give a damn." Father James Mitchell claims that somebody backstage hated Raven, I think one of the disciples of the new church, either Slash or Sinn, changed the normal razors and that's why he almost got scalped.

Flair mentioned on his book that it was the lowest point of his career, the greatest of all time losing to a writer. That destroyed his confidence and it took years for it to recover.

Jericho says “He dyed it such a brutal colour there’s no way he couldn’t shave it all off”.

The Boogie Woogie Man Jimmy Valiant lost a hair vs hair match to Number One Paul Jones. I like how it was done, at first he's wincing and grimacing while having his head shaved and then after a while he just stares blankly into the camera like his soul was taken from him.

Chavo Jr. was the face when he lost to Eddie. Then Chavo took the bull by the horns and cut his own hair. And offered Eddie a haircut too. "C'mon Eddie, we can be twins!"

Yeah Memphis did this several times. Lawler/Idol in 1987 being the most notable example. I think Dundee might have been a face in 1977 when Lawler beat him in a hair match, and then they came back a few weeks later and Dundee's wife lost her hair as well! That whole feud sounds insane. I kind of wish someone would do that again. Hair up for grabs one week, then a sports car the next, etc.

I imagine given the number of hair vs. mask matches in lucha over the decades, there've been a few technicos that have lost their manes.

I know Chavo's stock in the IWC has dropped considerably over the years, but my god he was firing on all cylinders during that angle. Probably my favorite period of his.

It's happened countless times in Mexico. An example is Blue Panther losing his hair to Sam Adonis who was doing a pro-Trump gimmick in Mexico.

Valiant and Lawler are the two best known examples to me. Other times they'd do the Cornette thing and blame Vince Russo, say the territories wouldn't have done it that way screw the heel somehow into being the one to get the haircut.

Has happened a few times in Dragon Gate since they have an annual match where the loser puts up their hair or mask.
I wish WWE kept it going. For instance there's no reason why Trips and Corbin couldn't have put their hair up in respective matches since they were getting rid of it anyway. Why not try to make something out of it instead?
