Torres, at his peak, was something incredible to watch. I’m a Chelsea fan so his time there was less than happy, to say the least but it’s a shame he never got his league winners medal to complete the trophy case.

Torres, at his peak, was something incredible to watch. I’m a Chelsea fan so his time there was less than happy, to say the least but it’s a shame he never got his league winners medal to complete the trophy case. Even as a lifelong United supporter, when he scored that last-minute goal in the Champions League semi that knocked out Barcelona I was marking out hard for the guy, despite him having played for two of our biggest rivals. Such a likeable person. To this day I find it hard to fathom just how fast he fell off as a goal scorer. The player who could practically score with his eyes closed in Spain and for Liverpool never hit double figures in the league again after leaving Anfield (though he did score 22 in all competitions in the 2012-13 season).

Once again things I don't understand. KuPS declined getting home advantage in their tie in hopes of getting a bigger crowd for the home game. To me, it would make a lot more sense to hold on to that advantage and go for another round and 200k€ extra prize money over getting 10-15k in ticket money.
The opponent, Vitebsk doesn't really sound like a team that attracts casual viewers either.

Marseille have effectively put Florian Thauvin, Dimitri Payet, Kevin Strootman and Morgan Sanson up for sale as they can no longer afford to keep them and comply with FFP. Could see a couple of those players doing a fine job for any number of Premier League clubs.

EGYT won the first game of the AFRICAN NATIONS CUP by a single goal over ZIMBABWE also a huge shock in the GOLD CUP as wee CURACAO beat HONDURUS also by a single goal HONDURUS were playing like toilet water and deserved to lose, the CURACAO goalie played an absolute blinder, with some terrific saves especially one early in the first half!

FUN AND GAMES at the womens world cup
ENGLAND are in a two goal lead, the second goal was a VERY marginal onside, then the cameroonians took an absolute fit because of it!
HERE COMES THE SECOND HALF FOLKS ..... CAMEROON scored right at the start, then that was called OFFside, in an even more marginal call and all sense has broken down!
apart from the fouling by CAMEROON in the first half and now an absolutely glaring chance missed OH BOY
