Man tries to steal jet to fly to rap concert

TEXARKANA, Ark. - An Arkansas man is accused of trying to steal a jet to attend an out-of-state concert.

Police in Miller County, Arkansas, said Zemarcuis Devon Scott, 18, thought that piloting the plane involved just pushing buttons and pulling levers, according to the Texarkana Gazette. Scott jumped into an American Eagle jet at Texarkana Regional Airport, hoping to fly his way to a rap concert on July 4.

The Gazette reports that Scott was arrested while in the cockpit. He has been charged with commercial burglary and attempted theft of property.

Envoy Air said the jet wasn’t damaged in Scott’s attempt.
