This was in the news today Kevin, ya hear this? 20 years ago today Jay Leno main evented a WCW pay-per-view with DDP against Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff.

Should have been Letterman v. Leno with special guest referee Johnny Carson. Then Steve Allen joins the nWo.

Rewatching it now, the psychology in this match is pretty great. Leno's moves on Hogan are after DDP has him in position, and Leno's great at both selling for his opponents as well as putting his all into selling his own offense.
Yes, Leno's punches leave a lot to be desired, but for someone who had only been trained for 10 days, Leno got *it*.

Since I saw wwf as the inferior brand back in those days, I was expecting for them to get Stone Cold to team up with letterman.

What's even crazier to me is it's been 20 years. I remember when the Monkees went on their 20th anniversary tour and it seemed like 20 years was an eternity for a kid that wasn't around in the 60s
