I always heard WWF New York was a crowded dump of a place.

IIRC it was a stage in Shut Your Mouth too. It was also in Smackdown 2: Know Your Role, but you had to unlock it.

Went there back in 2000 when I was on holiday in the states.
Ate there on a Thursday night with Smackdown playing.
Gangrel was the special guest there..Got his autograph.
At the time It was like I found heaven on earth as I was a massive wrestling fan at the time.
4 years later when I returned to New York it was gone.
Though I did go to WWE Niagra Falls in Canada.

$20 for Filet Mignon in 1999 is about $30-$35 today, either they had reasonable prices or the food was low quality.

My wife (or rather, at the time, girlfriend) is not a wrestling fan... but she would gladly go to WWF New York because she loved their damn chicken finger dinner. Served up with JR's BBQ Sauce, of course.
I don't remember what I got there, but we always had a good time when we did go.

I think considering the rebranding at the time, they missed a trick not having it become nWo New York for a few weeks before it became The World

I went there a few times to check out the place, bought the white/red Triple-H T-shirt that he wore in 2002.

I never ate there but I've been to their store quite a few times. I bought the Tazz "13" shirt and RVD'S first Dragon shirt

We went to NYC pretty soon after it had closed. Even for NYC in early 2000's those prices are pretty steep. Actually the prices aren't too bad for Times Square. But everything in Times Square is stupidly overpriced even compared to the rest of Manhattan.
I went when I was a kid about a few months after it opened. I think I still have an arcade token from it. It was kinda neat theme-wise and I think if it was anywhere but Times Square it might've lasted longer. Mostly because the leasing costs would be a lot less expensive.

Bit disappointed at the lack of meals named after wrestlers. Problem is that some of the wrestlers would have made their meal sound unappetizing, and I'm referring to the stars like Austin, Triple H, & Undertaker.

My parents and I travelled to New York when I was 15; it was the era of the really cheap connecting flights, so we picked-up my 9 year cousin on the way who I had successfully indoctrinated with wrestling since he could crawl.
The first day in New York my father wanted to go to Time Square, and I knew he’d be a lot less keen if he knew WWF New York existed, so I stayed quiet about that right until we got up from the underground station and I immediately started looking around for where it was. When I finally spotted it down and across the street, I grabbed my cousin, turned him around and let him spot the frontage himself, at which point he almost burst he couldn’t believe it. The next hour or two involved us being in there freaking-out, with my father gradually losing it...
Walking into the place and hearing Ken Shamrock’s music was a nice touch as he was my cousin’s favourite at the time; we both bought tshirts (I got one with the Rock in one of his million dollar shirts; I think it was a “What is your name?” shirt) and my cousin spent ages looking over the Jakks figures wall. Had the Hasbro line still been in production, I probably would’ve needed extra luggage on the way home. I asked the sales clerk about the results of the PPV the night before (No Way Out 2000 I think), and it seemed like every result had gone against the way I wanted, but there was at least one fan working there.
I remember the food being good; typical burger stuff which was ideal for your first day in New York/the US as a fat teenager. There were screens all over the place with random matches on; we had a Edge and Christian vs. Hardys ladder match on near our table, which did not help my father’s mood, but my cousin and I loved visiting there.
Happy memories.

Okay. I'm from NY so I went there a ton. Especially in 2000 because I was in college in Lower Manhattan and had a late class Monday's so I would watch Raw there damn near every week.
Two Stories:
First:
Most people don't know this but I have an unreasonable dislike of Trish Stratus. The reason being that she was there doing a signing and when I met her...well she wasn't very nice to me. I don't doubt that she's a very different person now but yeah it sucked at the time.
Second:
Oh man so it's my 20th birthday and somehow my friends managed to keep the fact that Shawn Michales was gonna be hosting Smackdown a secret from me. So here I am showing up to watch Smackdown and party with my people and Shawn Michales is there. I met him and promptly had the mother of all asthma attacks due to my anxiety. It was the best and worst birthday of my life all in one.

When I did volunteer work in the city I'd always go through the store every week. Never ate in the restaurant though.
I had a friend who got me money to buy them a different championship belt every other week.
