Man is this a good beer. I just got a 6 pack at Walmart for $4.94 plus tax when I usually spend about $2.75 a bottle when I'm out somewhere.
this is also actually an interesting moment because this is the first time in my life that i've gone out and bought a 6 pack for myself and brought it home to drink. my parents don't drink and never have any kind of alcohol in the house so just out of respect i've never brought alcohol into the house.
but my brother decided to act like a child tonight (he's 42) and start screaming at everyone and my name came up, so i walked out and did this. i felt i deserved a few beers for putting up with his crap for 2 months

Don't like it. Sorry. Tried it once, but it doesn't taste right. I'll stick with Sam Adams and Heineken.

Yuengling tastes much better as a draft beer because these bottles aren't as good as the pints I usually get at the pub.

maybe that's it. I did drink it in between two Winter Lagers, so that may have thrown me off.
But Winter Lager is good.
For me, Sam Adams is a good beer just to drink. I'll go with Heineken if I want to get drunk since i can drink a lot more of that stuff faster.

Yeah, drinking something brewed with cinnamon, ginger, and orange peel before you drink a regular beer might throw off your tastes a tad lol. I used to be just a Bud or Miller drinker but ever since a friend of mine started brewing his own beer and having me try a bunch of different things, Bud Light is almost like water to me now. I used to hate Sam Adams but I sorta like it now. Sam Adams Light on the other hand is terrible. *Edit* What's really good is Sam Adams Hefeweizen but it's hard to find. Any Hefeweizen is pretty good though. You're supposed to serve it with an orange slice in it, it brings out a lot of flavors. It's a wheat beer.

I think i may have had sam light once. It wasn't bad from what i remember. But at RAW on Monday I had a Miller Light. That was like drinking beer-flavored water. No wonder so many college kids drink the light crap. It's like water with alcohol. You can just drink it and drink it without thinking.
But I will never forget having to drink Bud Ice. That's like moose piss mixed with crappy beer water mixed with more water. It's awful.

I like Bud Ice actually. I just wish they had it in 18 packs because it gets expensive buying 6 pack after 6 pack of it.
My friends and I used to get a 32 ounce (40 ounce bottles are illegal here) of Schlitz Bull Ice which is either 8 or 9% alcohol by volume. We would drink one each and feel good for the rest of the night lol

Hear, hear!!
Yuengling is good, quality beer and the lager is quite tasty when compared to Miller Genuine Draft, Budweiser, and Coors.
I only live a half-hour from the brewery and have toured it before. ;D

Yuengling is still the best beer I've had, overall. I thought Sam Adams was awful, and tasted like someone dumped an entire shaker of black pepper into it... There aren't many other beers other than Yuengling I can find myself drinking on a regular basis. Red Stripe is one of them, though.
Back to Yuengling, though, I think their Black & Tan is even better than their normal Lager.

I'm drinking it right now. Pretty much all my drunken posts are created by it. Here's the list. 1. Yuengling 2. Brooklyn Lager 3. Red Stripe That's it...that's the list!!

Eh, Yuengling is ok, but nothing special.
Sam Adams, Sam Light, Sam Oktoberfest, are all great, and what I usually go for at bars.
Red Stripe is a great summer/"lounging on a hammock listening to the ballgame" beer.
But Brooklyn Lager is like a treat from the gods. Thank God they serve it at Shea Stadium. Also, Brooklyn Pennant Drive '55 Ale is good stuff.
I just can't drink just any beer; even if I just wanna get drunk, I make sure I buy a six pack of something I actually like, like Sam or Brooklyn.
Heineken can go to hell, though. Most overrated beer there is.

The fact that Mets fans get to drink Brooklyn Lager is yet another reason to hate Mets fans.

I'm not much of a beer drinker, although from late August to early November I will hit the alehouses and breweries that do the fall specials. I don't even drink a lot of hard liquor anymore, just red wine for me usually.

Yuengling is the equivalent of the nectar of the gods.
It's a smooth tasting beer, and it doesn't break the bank when you buy it (around my area, a 12 pack is $8 and some change).
Why they don't have it up in CT, I don't know. When I drive up to see the folks my dad always asks if I can bring him some Yuengling.
Great thread!

The last two times I've been to NYC I've got plasterated one night, both nights featured Yuengling in a big way. The first night ended with us in the police kiosk on Times Square And the second ended not so badly, with $2 draught Yeungling and all the hot dogs and popcorn you could eat in Hells Kitchen.
