There is a solution to this, Tonight, the defendants go one on one with....
THE UNDERTAKER!!!
In all seriousness as long as the verdict wasn't "not guilty" they can and probably will be retried...sick teenage f'ers.

Well if what MrBrightside posted is true (thanks for posting BTW) it's going to be retried, thats great. Hopefully they'll find 12 people with a working cerebral cortex this time and not just 11.

I hear ya, Godz...my faith in the justice system dies a little bit piece by piece when I hear that a burglar successfully sues the owners of a house he breaks into and he gets injured and those other Stella Award winners... These are the ones that make me think about where the GOOD crack is. How in the f*** does something like THIS legally happen? That's not rhetoric, either. Please answer that question. I think the biggest problem with the justice system is that it really, really can't stand stupid things like common sense.

This is why when I caught a guy breaking into my house I beat the holy living hell out of him with the butt of my .45 while waiting on the cops to arrive. Now, even if he gets probation or some other light sentence, everytime he looks in the mirror at his 3 missing teeth or the huge scar on the back of his head, he'll remember why he shouldn't be breaking into peoples houses.
When the cops got here one of them actually said I did a good job, and that he's overjoyed when he sees a homeowner get a little revenge on a burglar, since the justice system will have him back on the street in a few days...
And Godz, you wanna go to GA, get these guys, wrap em in duct tape and toss em out of a truck going 70mph...I'm in.

Honestly, if anyone ever breaks into my house and I have the means to, I'll kill them. You dont mess with me or my family, and with my luck, if I simply beat their ass they'll come back for revenge on me.

Glad they're being re-tried. It's an open serious question nowadays, "Are we too stupid for a jury sustem?" As in, for every 12 people assigned to a jury, are the odds simply too high that one of them will be a moronic menace?
I don't think anyone has mentioned this yet, but what really creeps me out is that aside from how sick animal cruelty is in itself, it's a big predictor for all kinds of terrible things, from sexual torture to serial killing. Someone who bakes a puppy in an oven may be gearing up to bake a baby.

According to the law (well, Pennsylvania law, at least; that's where I live), if someone enters your property without your permission then, while they're still on your property, you have every single right in the world to open fire on them. So, the burgler-sues-the-homeowner-due-to-injury thing is somewhat contradictory.

Jeffery Dahmer, for instance, performed his first known acts of violence on animals, running down stray dogs in his car for fun because he "enjoyed the look on their face" as well as killing neighborhood pets and strays and impailing their heads on sticks in the woods.

Honestly, if anyone ever breaks into my house and I have the means to, I'll kill them. You dont mess with me or my family, and with my luck, if I simply beat their ass they'll come back for revenge on me. Yeah I thought I'd do the same thing, until the situation actually occured. There were two guys in my house, one ran out the door as soon as he heard me coming, and the other dropped to the floor with his hands up as soon as he saw me aiming a .45 at his chest. So, instead of shooting a 20 year old punk kid in the back as he lay on my floor, I just kicked the crap out of him a few times and clubbed him in the head and face with the pistol till he was out. End result, 3 broken ribs, 3 missing teeth, 24 stitches in the back of his scalp. If he had put up any kind of fight at all, I would have redecorated my living room with fragments of his skull. The DA says she's going for the max penalty cause the guy has priors, and already did time for an aggravated assualt charge. He stabbed his friend in the face during a drunken brawl. The other guy got caught a few blocks away (thanks to my dog, who chased him through the neighborhood) and he is probably going to be offered probation, as he's only 18 with no priors. I tell you what, beating the crap outta the guy was a very rewarding experience. Thank god I have hardwood floors or my carpet would be a bloodstaind mess. The guy looked like he had been in a car wreck when the cops got here.

Exactly the reason Dexter Morgan is a vigilante serial killer.....kills the filth that slips through the cracks of the justice system. Only problem is...these two asshats aren't in Miami, Florida....

Before people go and say are system sucks, remember that it is in place to protect people who may be innocent from a single crazy judge who loves to punish people. Rarely, but it does happen, the system pumps out cases like this. Luckily, the two asshole teenagers can be retried and hopefully send them to an adult prison and let them show them what cruelty is. And next time, they're going to be extremely careful in picking a jury. I highly doubt those two are getting off this time.
