Don't Just Sit There is up on Patreon. Expect it later tonight elsewhere.
Seems a more simple video this time as there isn't much content with these kids talk shows. Kids Court may be the same as there is sparse footage available.

Looney Tunes will be a pretty standard fare episode, which makes sense as there are other retrospectives, but this one is focused mainly on its impact for Nickelodeon.

He even mentions that multi-part retrospective in a reply tweet to this tweet.

My guess is it'll talk mostly about some of the early history and its success on TV, the Nick Acquisition, "Sorry Bosko" and the character controversy, and its lasting effect on Nickelodeon overall.

Everyone talks about Bosko, but did Nick ever show the Buddy cartoons?

Yup, there's so much material for Looney Tunes that it's easy to lose focus. Plus, the Looney Tunes shorts would be given a longer presentation if there ever were a retrospective of Saturday Morning cartoons on ABC and CBS... at least, that's what I think.

Everyone talks about Bosko, but did Nick ever show the Buddy cartoons? Yeah, I think they did. I always thought that Nick stoppped showing those Bosko and Buddy cartoons because I thought they were soooooooo boring to watch. I was happy when Nick confirmed in a commercial that Nick was not going to show the Bosko cartoons. I did learn later on that people found those Bosko cartoons to be offensive as in not politically correct,

When Nick first started airing Looney Tunes the three networks did not want to give up their rights to their shorts, which were considered valuable Saturday morning fare, leaving Nickelodeon's selection limited. By the 90's the networks grip of these on those old syndication packages loosened and Nickelodeon was able to dramatically expand its offerings.

Also add that by the 90s, airing black & white cartoons seemed awfully outdated too. Like someone else said, the cartoons were usually boring.

I haven't gotten the Grimm's Fairy Tales Blu Ray yet, but if I do, I might brake tradition. Normally when I get a anime on Blu Ray / DVD or streaming Netflix, etc. I watch the Japanese version first and than the English dub.
But with this, I think I will do it the other way, get the English dub which I have seen many times out of the way, and watch the Japanese version next.

You got a point there, but my response would be that Nick@Nite sitcoms were generally for a different audience: nostalgic baby boomers who would remember those black and white shows from the 50s and 60s while the really old cartoons were from the 1930s and aimed at young kids (on Nick). However, we can't ignore that shows like Dennis the menace and Lassie were aired on Nickelodeon around that time as well, and I remember being bored as hell with Lassie.

What I was thinking too in response with regards to the older audience generally watching the nick at nite shows.. I found Lassie boring as well, but some of the other black & white sitcoms were still entertaining to me as a child like Mister Ed, Dennis The Menace.

Not an Animaniacs expy for Bosko?
