So all this time they tried to convince us this was a sequel to Space Jam, when in reality it's a sequel to The Lego Batman Movie? And it's now TECHNICALLY a sequel to The Iron Giant.

I wonder how Skip Bayless would react when he finds out that LeBron tried to recruit Superman, Gandalf and the Iron Giant to his team.

I'll admit I laughed at "Shoot the ball."

The film looks genuinely fun, but I’ll admit I got a ton of Ready Player One vibes from that trailer. Hopefully it’s not as hyper-fixated on its cameos as that was.

Lebron fits the film perfectly. Not a fan, however, of the characters being upscaled to CGI for the third act

I’ll probably end up checking it out. I chuckled a few times at the trailer. LeBron is definitely a better actor than MJ at least.

Did WB ever come clean on the Pepe issue?

So uh... WB... why did you put the violent rape gang from Clockwork Orange in your kids basketball movie?
like not even really hiding them? They're pretty much center of the shot at 2:24...

People now think Ready Player One when they see The Iron Giant. No sir I don't like it. Anyway I enjoy they are going to make this it's own thing and not just a rehash of the first movie. So I mean they are trying something new and fresh with this.

I'll just leave this here Ahh yes, the ceremony that nominated Shelly DuVall as worst actress for The Shining and the Jonas Brothers for worst actors for a concert movie. An award to take super seriously.

The film looks genuinely fun, but I’ll admit I got a ton of Ready Player One vibes from that trailer. Hopefully it’s not as hyper-fixated on its cameos as that was. I'm seeing this a lot but I don't think that's what it will be. If anything, it seems more likely from the plot synopsis we got months ago and the deleted scene that the Looney Tunes are scattered across various Warner Bros properties and they have to assemble them for the big basketball match, which is more what the movie is showing in the trailer. I could be completely wrong but that's what I see it anyway. Did WB ever come clean on the Pepe issue? I mean, why would they? Not being funny but the entire fuss was over the fact a scene was cut from a movie written and directed by another director. The only reason it got any coverage was because it involved Pepe Le Pew and it was spun a certain way. If you address this, you'll likely have to address every deleted scene cut from a movie and the reasoning which is beyond stupid. While I am here, I might as well give a couple of hot takes: I really like the fact LeBron is animated with the other Looney Tunes. That makes sense. One of my (many many) problems with the original was Jordan not being animated and it just looked silly. Also, the Looney Tunes look fine in 3D. Ahh yes, the ceremony that nominated Shelly DuVall as worst actress for The Shining and the Jonas Brothers for worst actors for a concert movie. An award to take super seriously. Then there's Britney Spears for a documentary. Also stock footage of George W. Bush. This isn't an opening to talk politics, just pointing out again that a sitting president got nominated for an award as stock footage.

It's also confirmed that Zendaya is the new voice for Lola. Speaking of voices, was I the only one that heard Cree Summer as Granny's voice? It likely isn't but it sounded a lot like her.
