I never really enjoyed the 2001-on Booker T. Because he was too goofy and his look wasn't as serious as the look above. The long pants, the fade haircut and he was a proud babyface who naturally got over with the crowd during the Benoit best of 7 series. This Booker T vs. The Rock would've been a closer battle than this one:

Harlem Heat was one of my favorite teams and Booker T has always been one of my dudes. On a personal level I would have loved it.
But as far as getting over with the WWF audience and even more daunting, getting over with WWF management/lockerroom/Vincehimdamnself, Booker did everything right by coming in a bit goofy.

Any of them work for me, really. I thought all of his looks were pretty awesome.
Except GI Bro. We're not counting that.

I always preffered his WCW look, just looked so much more of a badass on top of the kool vibe you got from his entrance theme.

He had already switched to trunks and the stupid hair by the time WCW folded. Not sure why. The flame gear and nose strips were unique and he looked legit.

Booker T went from looking like such a legit star to looking so goofy that my brain literally cannot process those two looks as the same person.

I liked his King Booker look in trunks (though him going back to long tights for that one Rumble was odd), but man, Harlem Heat and post-Harlem Heat Booker T was awesome. Loved the different flame gear he had - my fav was the magenta one with yellow flames he wore as TV champion. I also loved how shiny his gear was, which is something that became more and more common in other guys as the years went on.

I think that part of the reason Harlem Heat never came to the wwf was because Booker and Stevie Ray had a real life falling out.

I think that part of the reason Harlem Heat never came to the wwf was because Booker and Stevie Ray had a real life falling out. And that was probably for the best because by 2001, Stevie wasn’t only a poor worker, but he was dangerously unsafe. I can’t believe he didn’t seriously hurt somebody with his version of the Pedigree (the Slapjack).

I much prefer his earlier WCW look, but as it was mentioned,he probably did need his look and mannerisms to get over in the WWE. I hadn't considered that before. I'd like to see him go back to that look now that he's on commentary, but whatever works for him I guess.

Depends.
Harlem Heat Booker was better in regards to toughness and intimidation aspect-wise. Singles Booker was better as an overall character and his swagger was far greater.
As a kid when we saw singles Booker he was just cool. Yeah Harlem Heat Booker was dope but it was a different kind of dope.

No problem with his single look. My problem with him was the same thing that happened to basically everyone - too much comedy.

I loved WCW Booker T, whether as half of Harlem Heat or as a singles competitor.
WWE Booker T was good, but a couple notches below.

You know, I always wondered why Booker T stopped wearing the nose strips.
