Suddenly Gina isn't too enthusiastic about the free market. I mean she got her taste of fame by being cast as a supporting character on a show that probably wasn’t expected to be anywhere near as huge as it’s been. I mean, she had a film where Steven Sodenburgh literally built a cast around her just so he could film some awesome action scenes so it wasn’t like that was her first taste of fame.

Yeah, let's be fair to her. She's not a particularly good actor and a garbage human being, but she's had a pretty respectable acting career thus far. Haywire is a legit good movie, Fast & Furious 6 made huge money, she was solid in Deadpool (which also made bank), and Mando's the best-loved Star Wars property in 30 years.

Like, there is something to be said about why Gina could get roles in stuff and why Ronda was in one Fast and Furious movie, the worst Expendables movie and the voice actor everyone hates in Mortal Kombat 11.

It’s very frustrating when you see someone like Carano, and people on her side of the isle, say how she was unjustly fired and blame cancel culture, snowflakes, liberals, yada yada yada.
But that same political persuasion has absolutely ZERO problems condemning, hating and ultimately blacklisting Colin Kaepernick from playing in the NFL for kneeling in response to police brutality. They had no problem canceling him, huh?
Gina I never found very good. She’s always been way too wooden, uncharismatic and just not a good actor. Her exit will only improve the show. Bring someone more skilled in there.

I mean she got her taste of fame by being cast as a supporting character on a show that probably wasn’t expected to be anywhere near as huge as it’s been. No, she got her taste of fame by the good fortune of being cast in the latest incarnation of a hugely successful franchise, that anyone else in her postition would have killed for. Thankfully, her stupidity has created a job opportunity for another actor, who hopefully won't be as dumb and arrogant as she is. That's a word people really need to divest thenselves of using because it's essentially meaningless and has become a term people use to claim victimisation when none exists.

Remember when McCarthy and his House UnAmerican Activities committee "canceled" people for being alleged communist sympathizers?

I’ll go ahead and say Star Wars has been a punching bag the year Star Wars came out in 1977.

There was so much buzz about The Mandalorian that even the most jaded and cynical fans thought it was going to be a big deal. Let's not rewrite history here.
If anything, the most surprising thing about it is that it lived up to the massive hype surrounding it.

I figured it would just be another thing that happened.

I don’t remember the prequels getting quite the harsh reaction and dividing the fanbase as much as the sequels have, but the internet wasn’t as much a thing back then.

Yeah, social media has made it easier to see other members of the fanbase's opinions, but the argument can definitely made that the first two prequels, at least, united the fanbase in derision of them. Revenge of the Sith was more divisive, since there are plenty of people who hated the first two defending it.

I know way too many 20-25 year-olds who still think the prequels were great.
