I know that they're gonna show Ahsoka and possibly Sabine, but I'd like to see them explore what happened to Ezra.

I could be wrong but I think some of the noises the Krayt Dragon made were taken from Obi-Wans roar in the original film. I'm simultaneously disappointed and relived they didn't use the blu-ray version:

Awesome first episode.
They need to make a Mandalorian video game--that battle with the Krayt Dragon is crying out to be a boss fight.

The little nods and winks to Knights of the Old Republic warmed my soul.

I'm simultaneously disappointed and relived they didn't use the blu-ray version: What the hell was that? That, my friend, was the sound of George Lucas' dignity as it left his body. Fortunately Ben Burtt happened to be on hand to record it so George could find a way to incorporate it into the Special Editions.

I f***ing adore this show. Also, can we appreciate the sweet plancha the Gamorrean executed? Mando with some Miz-level catching on that.

Loved that first ep, Star Wars meets Tremors featuring Raylan Givens Damn, guess they just needed Burt Gummer and they wouldn't have had any issues. well they channelled him for the way to deal with it

God how I love that this show is such a "blank slate". It hits on just about everything i love about star wars. Good shit.

Amazing how they can get Mandalorian so right, but the new movies so wrongn The benefits of a singular vision. Favreau knows exactly what he wants to do, and LucasFilm are smart enough to give him the freedom to do it.

God how I love that this show is such a "blank slate". It hits on just about everything i love about star wars. Good shit. Someone pointed this out in a video I watched and it’s kind of genius to think about {Spoiler}{Spoiler} They realized when starting it that a Boba Fett show wouldn’t work because the character wasn’t really fleshed out much but has an iconic enough status where he couldn’t show up again so they’re giving people the best of both where they’re building new characters and giving a more fleshed out Boba Fett without him overshadowing everything else.
Like, The Madalorian himself has become a big part of Star Wars lore now and the dude was introduced not even a year ago. The benefits of a singular vision. Favreau knows exactly what he wants to do, and LucasFilm are smart enough to give him the freedom to do it. This too. They’re not building off a present narrative that hasn’t been figured out but giving Favreau his own corner of Star Wars to expand.

One nice little bit in the episode I especially liked was Mando getting Cobb to safety by doing the same thing that sent Boba into the Sarlacc. Awful temperamental, that jepack.

Favreau knows exactly what he wants to do, and LucasFilm are smart enough to give him the freedom to do it. Yeah, this is very clearly Favreau’s vision and his show. Pretty sure he’s written 12 of the 16 episodes produced thus far, he’s clearly got a road map planned out and I presume Filoni is helping him out with integrating certain aspects that are more intended to connect it to other past/future projects then advance the main narrative. That’s where the sequel trilogy f***ed up. Having 3 different directors was never gonna be the issue, having 3 directors with their own writers and own vision was. Disney should’ve planned out the major story beats right from the start and then allowed people to flesh out the details in the 3 movies rather then essentially giving each director carte blanche EDIT: The real f***ed up thing is Disney does this so incredibly well with the MCU. They basically tell the director and writer “We want you to do X movie, and it has to include this, this and this but beyond that we want it to be your take”

Not even from any stand point but, like, it’s Star Wars. You can’t go into something like that without a vision of some kind and to know exactly who you need for the plot you require. You’re not going to have Clone Wars or Rebels change animation style and director every season, why the f*** would you do that to your flagship?
