{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}So, with Thrawn back in the picture, does that mean that what was true about the Imperial Remanent in Legends is true for the new canon?
In Legends, the Remanent weren't just one faction. It was several warring factions vying for control of what remained of the Galactic Empire. You had about 50 different Moffs, Grand Moffs, and Grand Admirals fighting each other to be the Emperor's successor.

{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}I'll venture to say that's a character that we've not met yet, and is probably dead at this point.
If it is a character we've met, I'm going to guess it's Taron Malicos.

There's a half dozen Imperial remnants post-Endor, and several more post-Jakku, of which Gideon's is just one. Granted most of them have had brief mentions rather than actually be explored in any detail, but it stands to reason that the Galactic Empire is no different to any real-life empire that has fallen by the wayside - power grabs are inevitable.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler} Damn, Rosario Dawson really looks the part. Looked amazing, but as I feared, as soon as she started talking all I could see was Rosario doing cosplay.

Can't say I'm crazy about the name, but I'm sure it'll grow on me.

I am 42 years old.

I played Squadrons recently and there's a minor plot point about the post-Endor Empire rapidly starting to fracture into infighting because there was nobody left in charge.

This episode seemed to be Dave Filoni's pitch to become the Feige of Star Wars. I say...give him a shot.

“I like firsts: good or bad they’re always memorable”. {Spoiler}I just loved that line.
Beautiful episode. Both visually and in terms of story. Loved how slow it was. How it took its time. Filoni’s a good director. Really good at setting up action. Cant stress enough how beautiful a lot of the episode looked. Loved all the parallelism. The end: The duel between Ahsoka and Magistrate bitch while Beighn and Mando have their own confrontation. Martial arts and a Western. It’s Star Wars! A Mandalorian and Jedi working together with a force powerful creature in between who is fighting his own abilities. Just lovely.
Kind of bummed Ahsoka didn’t take Grogu. I’m over the baby. Wanted her to take him, go off and train in their own little spin-off-whatever. Interesting Thrawn was name-dropped so I’m guessing we’re going into Rebels territory.
I thought Dawson was great casting. Only seen here-and-there of Clone Wars and Rebels but she fit for me.
So has nerdom explained why Obi-Wan and Yoda didn’t ask Ahsoka for help during the OT? Was she just like “PASS”?

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Everybody assumed Ahsoka was dead after she, Kanan and Ezra confronted Darth Vader on Malachor. She was either trapped on Malachor with no way off for the entirety of the OT, or that extra-dimensional portal that Ezra pulled her into sent her into the future until after the OT was over.

Why she didn't leave for the entirety of the OT? No clue. It might be that she learned how to be "Ahsoka the White" there.

Filoni is someone who at least has an idea of where he wants his stories and characters to end up. After the mess that the Sequel Trilogy became due to lack of planning, What's the worst that could happen?

Can't say I'm crazy about the name, but I'm sure it'll grow on me. At first I thought it was weird but, it's sufficiently Star Wars enough for a non-human character. I was surprised he didn't have a more biblical or religious name considering most of Filoni's characters do(Ezra. Hera, Ahsoka, Kanan, etc.)

{Spoiler}Ahsoka was going to find Ezra with Sabine right after Endor. So she's been around the OT timeframe and found some way to escape Malachor between the S2 Rebels Finale and ROTJ. Maybe she followed Maul's example and jacked one of the Inquisitor TIE Advanced starfighters.
Also, TYTHON!!!
