Post-Endor Imperial Remnant Dark troopers Another surviving Jedi, or a new Jedi not seen yet?
Perhaps Kyle Katarn will return to canon.

This show is basically a sci-fi western RPG about a guy going from place to place and constantly given tasks that involve boss battles before he finally faces the world’s true evil while developing relationships with other characters who come and go throughout the story.

Post-Endor Imperial Remnant Dark troopers Another surviving Jedi, or a new Jedi not seen yet? Perhaps Kyle Katarn will return to canon. That's exactly what I was thinking. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}that the person who took Grogu was Kyle Katarn.
Especially with Thrawn back in the mix, I'm wondering if they might rework Mara Jade into this somehow, or possibly the spinoff
I'm also speculating that maybe Rey's parents could have something to do with hiding Grogu, that seems like the most logical connection to explain how the Empire knew about Grogu, yeah, there's about 8 years before Rey is even born at this point, but since she's a Palpatine, this could be an opportunity to flesh out that story, and maybe it's how Rey's mother met her father.
What if Rey's mother was involved with the Republic, escapes with Grogu after Order 66 (yeah, it's a huge stretch, maybe not Rey's mother specifically, but maybe Rey's maternal grandmother perhaps did this, and then tasked her daughter with protecting Grogu, given he's 50 years old) met Palpatine's "failed clone" son, and that's how the Empire came to capture Grogu in season 1 (most likely, Sheevy is getting those transfusions, and it could possibly explain Palpatine's need for Rey's power, of course, you have to throw out that Palpatine in RoS is a clone himself.)
Rey's parents meet, fall in love, but fail to keep Grogu safe, they went into seclusion as junk traders on Jakku, but who could've helped them along the way, and tried to ensure they stayed safe?
That's where Boba Fett comes in. His escape from the Sarlacc changed him, and he encounters Rey's mother with Grogu, knowing what the Empire truly is, he attempts to keep them safe, but that fails, Grogu is captured, he helps Rey's parents stay hidden after that (until Rey is born, then taken that few years later)
With the Empire having Grogu in season 1, I'm going to speculate even more wildly that Boba is somehow responsible for Din Djarin being tasked with retrieving the "Asset" and has been watching Din for quite some time, or has some unknown history we've yet to see. When I saw Boba in S2E1, I couldn't help but think of a parallel between him and Chirrut Imwe.
Okay, enough from me, my first wild theory was wrong, can't wait for this to be more wrong than that.

Yeah, pretty much. I also like the idea of being a “History of Star Wars for Beginners” show.

Kinda feels like an extended quest in Skyrim to me.

Seeing on Twitter some people are upset with the Baby Yoda’s name reveal.
In a Universe with names like Jar Jar Binks, Jek Porkins, Ello Asty, Sio Bibble and umm Kit Fisto *childish giggle* ... they are upset at a name that would make sense if he is the same species as Yoda.

I've come to accept that like 90% of Star Wars names are horrible so the name doesn't bug me based on the fact my standards are so low.

Honestly, Grogu seems about as normal of a name as I expected for a Star Wars baby. I expected something more elaborate.

Think it’s just one of those fandom things that remind me of what Soos said in Gravity Falls: “I hope all of this aligns exactly with my fan-fiction, Stan. If not, I will be very disappointed.” They were probably expecting Yiddle or Yodi or something else. One post I saw said “still calling him Baby Yoda dammit” .. but Baby Yoda was never his official title from the start.

Pretty much on-the-nose. When he entered the encampment in this episode and walked to that family saying “I need some information”, I thought “holy shit, that feels straight out of a video game”.

Someone said last season that it felt like a Telltale game. "You speak terrible Jawa. You sound like a wookie." Negotiate calmly with the Jawas. >Threaten the Jawas. "You understand THIS?" *shoots flamethrower*"

Oh, and my flat mate joked about Grogu turning to the Dark Side and reconstructing the Ben/Han scene from The Force Awakens and I couldn’t stop laughing for a good couple of minutes.

God, this show rules. Glad we got The Child's name - did not expect that mid-season.

Glad we can move on to a more important character for the second half {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Boba Fett {Spoiler}{Spoiler}As said, I’m not a fan of Ashoka or the Rebels series. Now that they’ve all been name dropped let Thrawn, Ashoka and the rest of them have their own series separate from this. I hope whoever answers Grodu’s call is a new character. And I’d honestly be fine with a CGI Luke Skywalker. I’d prefer it to any of the rebels characters. But I can’t see Grodu leaving the Mandalorians side so maybe the task is going to fall on him.
