Has there ever been a cuter Star Wars image than that?

I really wish Star Wars wouldn't do that Marvel shit where I have to watch shows that aren't the one I like just to understand what the hell is going on. The last time I watched Mando, Grogu got abducted by Luke Skywalker. It honestly felt like a nice ending to their relationship. Now they make Season 3 and he's just chillin' with Grogu again. I don't want to have to sit through that Boba Fett show to know what happened. I know why they do this for business reasons, I just really wish they wouldn't.
Anyway, that was an incredibly underwhelming episode. The two previous season openers were AWESOME, this one was more of a setup than anything. I sure hope there's a vision here beyond "we need this show to keep going to improve D+ numbers and focus test groups like the baby yoda and that makes us bank so bring him back." It's too early to tell though, so I'll definitely stick with it. Mando earned a lot of goodwill from me for those first two seasons.

Honestly, you can get away with just watching the one Mando-centric episode, {Spoiler}since it ends with Luke giving Grogu the choice of whether to continue his training or return to Mando. Watch that and skip to "The Apostate". Nothing beyond that episode is vital to the story of Mando and Grogu, and Mando's line to Greef explaining Grogu's return fills in the gap.

Also, not trying to be that guy but...someone's probably done a reel of Grogu clips to fill the gap from Book of Boba Fett and put it on YouTube so...just watch that. There isn't that much to it. Has there ever been a cuter Star Wars image than that? I'm so glad there's a clear image, I'm making that a background ASAP.

I could watch an entire movie of Baby Yoda being an asshole toddler with force powered shenanigans I want to see a buddy cop movie with Grogu and Baby from Dinosaurs Not The Mando! Not The Mando!

First episode was ok I suppose. Add me to the people who think it's idiotic that you have to seek out an episode of a completely different TV show to understand WTF is going on.

Basically, Luke gives Grogu a choice, Grogu takes him to Dick Kick City, and steals his ship. How did Luke get it back by the Sequel trilogy? Eh, we'll figure that out later.

It was good to see them immediately address Bo-Katan's hypocrisy from the last episode.
Seeing her with the darksaber in live-action was wild. If Sabine ends up using it in Ahsoka somehow, I'll question everything I've ever known and seen.

This week's episode was much better than last week's. More focused and told a better story. Din makes for a great damsel in distress.
Grogu's babbles really do get more and more like speech in each episode. He's definitely going to say something before the season is up and if he says "dad" (or anything close) I'll cry.

I'm expecting Grogu's first words to be in universe swear words (my brother had three kids, two of them used swear words quickly as my brother and his ex wife swore a lot thinking they had more time before their kids could repeat it, my brother and his ex were young parents, pregnant at 18/19.) or him using force lightening with a simple "DIE" protecting Mando from a big bad.

Din had the worst luck in this episode. I don't know, they seem to be teasing Din and Bo hooking up. So that's a positive for him. But forget all that, a motherf***ing Mythosaur!

Cracking second episode, felt much more like one of the first season episodes. {Spoiler}I like that Bo-Katan not only didn't hesitate to save Mando but also seemed to genuinely care about his survival. Now, the pessimist in me says that's probably because she needs him alive and healthy if she's to beat him in combat for the Darksaber, but that seems too obvious a twist.
I also like that as the show progresses we're seeing that while Mando's a good fighter, he's not on the same level as the likes of Bo-Katan and her former clanmates. It gives him plenty of room to grow.

Maybe it’s because I watched it on a brand new laptop, but I have no f***ing clue what IGN is talking about that the episode was too dark to see anything. I thought the episode looked great

It gives him plenty of room to grow. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}I also love the fact that this season, and to an extent the two episodes of Book of Boba Fett, seems to be going in the direction of making Din go through a crisis of confidence in the Mandalorian as a concept in the same way he’s been eroding more of his outer shell in the two previous ones.
The way it feels like he’s trying to find a place he belongs in and feels like without being a Mando, he’d be nothing is blatantly untrue with the amount of people who want him to help and be a part of their planet in some way has the potential to go in several directions and we’re seeing it already with how much Mando talks to Grogu like he’s a part of the crew rather than the pain in the ass he thought of him as in the first season.
EDIT: And I don't rule Bo-Katan from that point, either. She literally read a description that she laughed at because she considered it a fairy tale and then saved her ally from dying from the beast in that description which in turn makes her doubt what she thought about something she lived through. Where they both end up will be really interesting.
It’s why I did genuinely like the first episode. It felt more like we were going back to the characters we know and love rather than waiting for the next big bad to come along. This season, we don’t know what or who that could be. The Mandos themselves? Bo-Katan and her forces? Is Moff Gideon going to get a pardon and come back to wreck his shit? Who knows right now and honestly, that’s kind of cool.

All I want to know is, can we have more info about the creepy eyeball alien critter cyborg droid-controller in this episode.
