Nah, dude's the truth. Vince wasn't powerful enough (until very recently) to get away with a quarter of the shit he does without a damn good lawyer on retainer. Went up against Punk. Backed down. Went up against Brock. Backed down. Alberto? Backed down. Went up against the world wildlife fund. Changed name. Jesse Ventura. Lost. Chuck Austen? Lost. Marty Garner? Settled. Sable suit? Settled... And so on. The big wins have often come against Lionel Hutz like lawyers like the concussion suit or have involved weaponising the Connecticut statute of limitations for filing suit. He's not the unstoppable litigant crushing machine, the Lesnar of the courtroom, he's just a run of the mill corporate lawyer. Wins some, loses some. 50/50 booking~!

How much does your life suck to be "No, not Bram. The other one."? Let's just say, that guy's year really was 2006.

Wait Charlotte has been married twice? How many of Ric’s records is she trying to break? This message said that 69 more liked this , thought it was me and that this must be an old thread I've forgotten, then realised my name is 67 more so then liked it so I couldn't confuse myself. First time I've tricked myself with this stupid username.

McDevitt didn't really "lose" against any of those guys, Vince either signed guys to illegal contracts or violated deals and McDevitt had to make sure that the worst thing that could happen would be the the WWE having the contracts voided/minimal compensatory damages regarding the whole "We're going to blatantly violate trademark law even though we've made an agreement to not do so" thing with the WWF. The entire talent model of the WWE violates labor law and they still haven't been able to been touched. And that's my point. Vince has done a lot of incredibly shady stuff, and still hasn't been taken down despite a clear public record of this behavior. Being able to cut your losses and run is exactly what corporate lawyers do when their clients pull as much shit as Vinny Mac has over the years. McDevitt was the one of the first attorneys to win cases by proving someone liable for another person's suicide.

Yeah... telling your client to settle/drop is 99% of what corporate lawyers exist to do.

Yikes, racism ain't no joke. If this ain't real I'd sue the living shit out of dude. Like, take the lint from his pocket kind of lawsuit. Well, that's really going to make stuff like "Genetically superior" even more awkward. If the company booted out Hogan, the biggest star the company's had, and this video comes to light, Charlotte's going to get it bad. Yeah... telling your client to settle/drop is 99% of what corporate lawyers exist to do. A corporate lawyer will say "He did get injured in the ring, and he wants $100,000, if we go to trial with court costs and the possibility of the jury believing him, it's going to cost a lot more. Let's settle for oh $60,000." I think it's said that over 90% of lawsuits end in settlements. As bad as Suits is, that's one thing they get right. So many times, it will be about them getting a settlement.

Damn, didn't even think about that Genetically Superior thing. Hope it's fake.

I'm surprised his accusations are being taken at face value, to be honest. At least one of his main claims (that Charlotte wrote he was "sterile") is demonstrably false, given she mentions on p.328 of Second Nature that after their divorce he had a child with another woman (and the passage on p.278 that he seems to be basing this on doesn't say he was sterile, only that he had a blockage which needed corrective surgery), he waited more than a year after the book came out, and he didn't even get a lawyer to launch this wide-ranging suit. He sounds desperate for money and upset at being outed as an abuser. especially given the passage in his suit where he claims Charlotte was supposedly exploiting #metoo.

Good lord it’s been a while since I’ve heard or seen the phrase “afro-American” used. I think for me it's been since the year 2000, from that song "Southern Hospitality" by Ludacris.
