Well, that's really going to make stuff like "Genetically superior" even more awkward. If the company booted out Hogan, the biggest star the company's had, and this video comes to light, Charlotte's going to get it bad. A corporate lawyer will say "He did get injured in the ring, and he wants $100,000, if we go to trial with court costs and the possibility of the jury believing him, it's going to cost a lot more. Let's settle for oh $60,000." I think it's said that over 90% of lawsuits end in settlements. As bad as Suits is, that's one thing they get right. So many times, it will be about them getting a settlement.
Damn, didn't even think about that Genetically Superior thing. Hope it's fake.

Nah, dude's the truth. Vince wasn't powerful enough (until very recently) to get away with a quarter of the shit he does without a damn good lawyer on retainer. Went up against Punk. Backed down. Went up against Brock. Backed down. Alberto? Backed down. Went up against the world wildlife fund. Lost and changed name. Jesse Ventura. Lost. Charles Austin? Lost. Marty Garner? Settled. Sable suit? Settled... And so on. The big wins have often come against Lionel Hutz like lawyers like the concussion suit or have involved weaponising the Connecticut statute of limitations for filing suit. He's not the unstoppable litigant crushing machine, the Lesnar of the courtroom, he's just a run of the mill corporate lawyer. Wins some, loses some. Yeah if you call McDevitt's bluffs and actually go against him you win. He mostly wins by delaying the proceedings but the people who call his bullshit usually win. He's not that good of a lawyer. |
